Intro Civil Engineering

Introduction

This report is about the basics of civil engineering for most question about civil engineering like “who
are civil engineers ?” “what civil engineering do ?” “what is the diffrence civil engineers and
architecture engineers ?”. most of people may know civil engineers are people take a part in
construction site, although only some people know what civil engineers do and take majors part in
big construction site. In Indonesia though, Civil Engineering (Translated : Teknik Sipil) in some
people think is still anonymous and misguided, translated into indonesia, Sipil in most Indonesia
people thought is job who taking part about social and society because Sipil intrepret about ordinary
people who don’t dabbling in military forces or politics. So this is the main introduction of civil
engineers.

Who are civil engineers ?

Civil Engineers is people who devise, forming, and construct major parts infrastructure such
as bridge, airport, roadway etc. All country need civil engineers to build major infrastructure
in their country, and it’s like forever all country in the world would need civil engineers force
for country main fondation.
What is Civil Engineering ?
Civil Engineering is one of the branch in engineering discipline, focused about devise,
forming and construct infrastucture. Some college in all country, civil engineering is the
oldest engineering discipline. Because in past way untill now, people and country still need
more and more civil engineers forces for re-continuing created and expand infrastucture
development in all country while cooperating with all engineering branch.
What Civil Engineering do ?
Civil engineering study about real-life physics because civil engineers must make sure what
they devise when forming and construct will strong enough used long time with many
people. Civil engineering not only studied about construction, but technology too. Likely civil
engineers right now not use same materials like in past ways, example, found a way to
making asphalt from plastics. Civil engineering are studied about what society needed and
resolution about the major problem society. Physics, statics, sturucture analyze etc is only
support to the main problem in society. Also civil engineering studied the eficiency or cost to
construction materials but not ignoring people safety because what civil engineers create is
for all people use and all people purpose.
What is the diffrence Civil Engineering and Architecture Engineering ?
Civil Engineering and Architecture Engineering is branch of engineers that same take place
job in construction area. The main diffrent about civil engineering and architecture
engineering is size of the construction. Most of architecture engineering construct in small-
sized construction like house. In house construction don’t need civil engineering, but
architecture engineering also know the basics about civil engineering like structure strength
and analyze for creating safe house. While civil engineering do in major construction site like
bridge, apartment, airports etc. But architecture engineering still needed for making thoose
site well-aesthetic. Like interior design and many more. But in some job, civil engineering job
is embody what architecture design. In this case like making statue, roller coaster in themed
park etc. Neither architecture engineering and civil engineering do and learn same things,
but focused in diffrent things. Most people only know architecture engineering is discipline
that taking big part of construction, because architecture engineering studied about
aesthetic, and be more exposed rather than civil engineering. While civil engineering rarely
to be exposed in media, but there is. Like there is found a way to recycle plastics become
well-strength asphalt, is likely one of big problem in world are nearby to be resolved.
