• Pump efficiency can be determined by the the equation :
HHP (Hydraulic Horse Power) / BHP (Brake Horse Power)
• HHP is output Horse Power that can be defined from the head
developed on the pump curve at any point of BPD.
HHP = Rate (BPD) x Head (ft) x SG fluid
136000 (Constant)

Example : HHP = 2100 x 2275 x 1.00 BHP = 60 HP

136000 BHP plotted on the pump curve

= 35 HP

Pump efficiency = HHP / BHP 35 / 60 x 100 % = 58.3 %
