Location: GUINAYANGAN QUEZON (SALACAN RESORT)

Date: March 12. 2018

Time: 10:30 – 11:00 am
Weather: Sunny
Instrument used: Level rod or Pegs, Range poles, Theodolite

I. PROCEDURE:
1. Establish the triangulation stations at designated places on the area assigned to be surveyed.
Call these stations A, B, C, and so forth.
2. Designated lines AB and DE as the base lines and check base respectively. Measure precisely
each length in two trials and record the mean measurement as the actual length of each line.
3. Set up and orient the theodolite at A then, determine the bearing of AB.
4. At station A, measure in four repetitions each relevant, horizontal angle and record the
observed values accordingly.
5. Repeat the preceding procedure of setting up the instrument and measuring horizontal angles
at all other designated triangulation stations.

III. COMPUTATION
IV. REMARKS
1. In setting up the instruments, we’re doing it in quiet a long time because of not familiar
upon using the instrument.
2. High temperature makes us discomfort, cap and umbrella is not enough because of the
reflection of the sun in to our eyes.
3. Because of inappropriate action the level instrument sometimes needed to reset again.
4. In using the Theodolite, we have a difficulty on using the instrument at a short distance
reading because of the blurring of numbers and scales in the rod.
5. Upon using the instrument, we cannot put the bubble to the center of the two level at
the same time, but it just takes some time to be levelled.
6. The location chosen for the work must be where the lines of sight will be high enough
above the ground to avoid any large and irregular refraction effects that may exist near
the ground.
7. The location where the activity was conducted was not sufficient to cover a long
distance measurement so we need to reduce our working area where we establish our
BM marks and TP marks.
