Project # 1:
Project Overview:
QR Concepts (Quality Review Concepts) performs medical bill processing and analysis. Currently bills
are processes either in paper or PDF format. Any bills that need adjustment are manually marked up with the
proper edits, and returned to the customer. Often the bills are edited by hand. QR Concepts requires an
automated process allowing for quick, auditable bill processing including professional bill presentment.
The EOB is the primary output of the system. It is what the provider receives from the insurance carrier after
the claim was filed. The EOB indicates the date(s) of service(s), the service(s) (CPT format) billed, individual
amount billed, the amount paid, reduced, denied, or services re-coded by the carrier followed by key code
referencing an explanation for any changes or reductions made.
This project will be divided into several phases. In this phase include the development of a system whereby
all the primary entity information is captured and then processed bills can be generated and stored in
database. The presentation layer will be web based. This will be referred to as the EOB Bill Presentment
