Red P1-2 DC Power (+5.5-15VDC) Junction of IC-5 Pin-1, C-21, C-22, & R-95 ( 8VL ) 1
Black P1-4 Ground Nearest GROUND Plane
Orange P1-6 RX Input Junction of C-208 & IC-201 Pin-9 ( VCAOUT ) 2
Violet P1-13 RX Output Junction of C-208, R-231 & R-232 2
White P1-9 TX Input Junction of C-931 & R-942 ( MIC ) 3
Green P1-1 TX Output Junction of C-931 & R-931 3
Brown P1-3 Scramble/Clear Customer Added SPST Switch ( See Note ) 4
Yellow P1-7 RX/TX Select Junction of Q-4 (Collector Leg), J-1 Pin-4 (PTT) C-31 & D-5 5
Green/Wht P1-8 Binary Select 1 Customer Added Binary Switch if needed 6
Gray/Wht P1-10 Binary Select 2 Customer Added Binary Switch if needed 6

Notes:

1) Located on Front unit PCB.

2) Remove C-208 from the radio, located on PLL unit PCB.

3) Remove C-931 from the radio, located on Main unit PCB.

4) Add a SPST switch & connect the brown wire, so that when the brown wire is grounded the
VPU-12 will be in the clear mode. Program the VPU-12 for latched with a -/+ polarity.

5) Located on Front unit PCB.

6) If the VPU-12 will be used as a single Code Scrambler then:

Code 16 is selected if wires (P1-8, 10, 11, 12) are NOT connected.
Code 1 is selected if wires (P1-8, 10, 11, 12) are grounded.
