The Lyrical Phenomenon

By GiGi Capone – 4/15/09 Sacramento, CA

Wreck-A-Mic is past the point of being a diamond in the rough. Chances are that if you live in the dirty
south you have already heard his music. The only thing standing between the gifted performer and being a
mainstream icon is just a little bit of time. Born Steven Mullen in Denton, TX Wreck-A-Mic wasted no time earning
a notable reputation amongst his peers with his rap skills. When I asked Wreck-A-Mic what it was that made him
get into music the first place he said

“I was always fascinated with hip hop; the attitude, the freedom of expression, the style… the culture as a whole! I
started out freestyling on the bus headed to school or to basketball and football games in high school and made a
name for myself quickly.”

Carrying himself with confidence and charisma Wreck-A-Mic is sure to gain the respect of even the toughest hip
hop critique. With his mc crushing lyrics and his high energy upbeat tracks Wreck-A-Mic is melting mics on a daily
basis.

Wreck-A-Mic’s current accomplishments include being featured on Paul Walls CD “Fast Money”, features on
various mixtapes and mixshows on an international level and collaborations with regionally and nationally notable
artists such as Paul Wall, Charlie Boy, Teflon, Mango, Mr. Pookie, Mr. Lucci and Young Bleed. Wreck-A-Mic Says he
has even recorded an unreleased track with juvenile and Pimp C before he died.

Long term goals vary from artist to artist these days and rarely revolve around anything but money. I asked Wreck-
A-Mic what his long term goals were and he humbly replied “My goal is to make music that people will feel 10
years from now or more; Of course I want to make as much money as I can doing what I love but I don’t want to be
the guy who sold out for the quick cash and alienated his own fan base.”

Just as Wreck-A-Mic made America’s head nod to Peep The Way I Strut, he wasted no time Pumping out 2 more
hot tracks back to back. “Ziploc Fresh” and “God of Flow” are available in stores now. The hustle doesn’t stop there
for this Texas born rapper. Wreck-A-Mic is currently working on even more projects; “Blood Money Hosted by Paul
Wall and “Grizzly Bear Adams.” This man is serious about his grind and appears to be unstoppable.

With 8+ upcoming shows between Texas and Ohio this unsigned rapper extraordinaire continues to consistently
increase his fan base day after day. No worries if you don’t live in Texas or Ohio; Wreck-a-Mic and his mind blowing
raps can be viewed at www.myspace.com/wreckamic. Shockingly MySpace happens to be Wreck-A-Mic’s main
source of advertising. The well seasoned performer feels “MySpace is a lot more manageable than a website, plus
it is free and wide open.” Coincidentally MySpace is exactly where I met Wreck-A-Mic. There is one message that
Wreck-A-Mic wants Each and every one of his fan’s to know; “Everything Isn’t always what it seems and looks can
be deceiving.” You know…I could never of stated it better myself. Be sure to go and buy “Ziploc Fresh” and “God of
Flow,” IN STORES NOW. Come “Peep The Way Wreck-A-Mic Struts!”
