FIRM PROFILE
VARMA CONSULTANCY SERVICES is a sole proprietorship firm that established in 1984
as P.R RAJA ESTATES which is later changed. Firm locates in Madhapur, Hyderabad in
Telangana. It provides the service of architecture, structure and interior consultancy to their
clients of various building and interior designs to achieve the high quality standard of living
spaces.
Most of the firm’s works are government projects, along with designs for large scale
gated communities and high rise apartments. The firm has equal potential staff in both
architecture and structural fields.

MY ROLE AS AN INTERN IN THE FIRM

During the practical training period of 6 months, I involved myself in a rigorous program
that demanded me to apply my architectural knowledge gained over the period of 4 years and
also gain practical knowledge through site visits and discussions with the seniors.

Projects I have involved in –

1. National Accreditation Board for Hospitals(NABH) upgradation works in different
cities –Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Srikakulam of Andhra
pradesh
2. Proposed Residential development at Warangal, Telangana
 3. Proposed Residential development at Banjarahills, Hyderabad, Telangana
4. Proposed Residential development at Manchiryal, Telangana
5. Proposed Residential development at Banjarahills, Hyderabad, Telangana
6. Proposed Residential development at S.R. Nagar, Hyderabad, Telangana
7. Proposed land development at Vikarabad, Telangana
8. Proposed Residential apartment building at Karimnagar, Hyderabad,Telangana
9. Proposed Residential apartment building at Kondapur, Hyderabad,Telangana
10. Proposed Youth Club Building at Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh

ABOUT SITE VISITS

a) NABH
During 6 months of my internship program, I have visited the government hospitals in
Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Srikakulam of Andhra Pradesh state with our
senior Architects for collecting the required data for the upgradation of those hospitals as per
National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) norms.
Through these site visits gained some knowledge on hospital building designing and
worked on proposals of location of parking sheds, STP’s, attendant’s sheds in the existing old
site. Also observed the communication, co-ordination and dealing of an Architect with the
authorities of the project.
b) LAKE RETREAT – residential apartment
I have also been to these ongoing construction site along with the structural engineer
for checking of reinforcement in floor slab where observations regarding reinforcement and
concreting were noted.
The environment in the firm is very friendly and helpful which made my learning
process in the firm easy.
