In the present day situation, commonly we see that the rubbish canisters or Dust receptacle are
put at open puts in the urban communities are flooding because of increment in the waste each
day. It makes unhygienic condition for the individuals and makes terrible stench around the
surroundings this leads in spreading some savage maladies and human disease, to maintain a
strategic distance from such a circumstance we are wanting to outline "IoT Based Waste
Management for Smart Cities". In this proposed Framework there are various dustbins situated
all through the city or the Campus, these dustbins are furnished with minimal effort inserted
gadget which helps in following the level of the junk containers and an interesting ID will be
accommodated each dustbin in the city with the goal that it is anything but difficult to distinguish
which waste receptacle is full. At the point when the level achieves as far as possible, the device
will transmit the level alongside the interesting ID gave. These subtle elements can be gotten to
by the worry specialists from their place with the assistance of Internet and a quick activity can
be made to clean the dustbins.
Working principle:
In our proposed system the waste bin is monitored using NodeMCU controller. The level
sensor and the gas sensor are present in the bin. The level sensor is used to monitor the level
height of the waste present in the waste bin. The waste product in the bin are at high flammable
risk in order to detect fire, fire sensor is embedded in our system and it will trigger the buzzer to
alert everyone. The gas sensor is used to monitor the hazardous (poisonous) gas level in the bin.
The output of the gas sensors will be analog format. The sensor voltage gets converted into
particular digital value and the values are updated in cloud and intimated using the buzzer. The
data are updated to the municipality office; in our case it will be Cloud.
Gas Sensor data can be visualized as Graph format and all other sensor data will be stored in
cloud database and can be retrieved and visualized in Graph and Table format.
