SUMMARY
A result-oriented leader with a drive to go above and beyond what is required for my job and
professional education. Recently finished a B.S. and am in my final year of my M.S. Computer Science:
Data Science and Strategic Analytics (anticipated Summer 2019). I Have experience in the fields of
Computer Science, Environmental Science, Spatial Analysis, Statistical modeling, Python, R, SQL, and
Machine Learning . I strive to apply my knowledge to make a true difference not only in my work but
for the world as well. I encourage you to take a look at my personal website in the link above!
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Data Analyst February 2018 – Present
Amedysis
• Constructing SQL queries to source data into proper format.
• Utilizing Python and Excel to clean and transform the data to meet business needs
• Identifying errors within the data, and reporting on them.
• Working on multiple projects between departments.
• Transitioned from compassionate care
Data Analyst December 2018 – Present
Compassionate Care Hospice
• To assist with company acquisition, I utilized skills in Python, SQL (Microsoft SQL
Server), and Excel to sift through, transform and analyze company data from payroll
to professional feld visits.
• I was tasked with answering pressing questions posed by the acquiring company and
delivered by the current CFO.
• Worked with another team mate to efciently develop procedures to answer the
questions in a timely manner.
Principal Research Assistant November 2016 - September 2018
• Assumed leadership in Stockton Forest management research initiative. Managed the crew and
maximized efficiency in collecting and analyzing data for long and short-term studies in
Stockton’s forest management plan.
• This involved collection of spatial data of the study area, transect locations, canopy locations, etc
via Trimble, and field data related to canopy cover, forest fuels, reproduction, etc.
• Created a Stockton Forest management database and continued to manage this database
throughout my career at Stockton.
• Created a GIS map in ArcMap and ArcPro that contained all the spatial data collected during the
field studies. Linked the field data to the spatial data for analysis. Performed statistical analysis
on the resulting data.
Environmental Data management & Acquisition Tech January 2018 – September 2018
• Mastered the fundamentals of hobo logger programming, sensor installation, management, and
data retrieval
• Managed the resulting data sets performing statistical analysis on them
• Develop techniques and strategies for communicating data effectively to a variety of
stakeholders
Conservation Research Assistant January 2017- September 2018
Page: 1 of 4
• Consulted with a conservation organization based out of Kenya with professor Andrea Presotto.
• Used census data taken over the course of 20 years and created shapefiles using the coordinates
provided in the data.
• Created an ArcMap displaying these shapefiles throughout Diani beach and used remote sensing
techniques through Erdas to identify land cover and created shapefiles from the classification.
• Created a GLM to identify what land cover has the most influence on the distribution of the
colobus monkeys throughout Diani beach. We then used this data to identify the optimal location
for a wildlife corridor.
Teaching Assistant January 2017-December 2017
• Inspired and enlightened students to the benefits of inferential statistics by teaching them SAS
programming to tackle research related problems. I taught the lab section of the course while
assisting with the main class.
• Engaged students in field work involved with Ecology, from seining steams for invertebrates to
conducting variable radius plots to determine basal area of a forest
