Phone call to DPA Fire in Paint Store

Description of Exercise:
- 10.30 AB Perez reported a fire in the Paint Store.
- 10.33 Master activated Fire Alarm.
- 10.35 Crew started fire fighting with 2 BA sets and the use of portable extinguisher.
- 10.37 Master informed DPA via GSM and Port via VHF.
- 10.38 DPA informed ERT.
- 10.40 DPA contacted local agent and requested Fire Brigade on standby.
- 10.45 DPA reported via GSM the readiness of shore assistance.
- 11.00 Master reported to DPA and Port fire is under control and no further assistance is
required.
- 11.03 DPA informed ERT.
- 11.05 Master reported to DPA fire is extinguished.
- 11.06 DPA requested a shipboard investigation.
- 11.10 End of Drill.

Evaluation of Exercise:

The communication between ship and shore was available and all parties act as required.
