1. The question paper consists of 3 subjects (Subject I: Physics, Subject II: Chemistry, Subject III:
Mathematics). Each Subject consists of 2 sections (Section I and Section III). There is NO Section II.
2. Section I contains 2 types of questions [Type 1 & 2]
Type 1 contains 10 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question has 4 choices (A), (B), (C) and (D),
out of which Only ONE is correct.
 Marking scheme: +3 for correct answer, 0 if not attempted and –1 Mark in all other cases.
Type 2 contains 3 paragraphs each describing theory, experiment and data etc. Six Questions relate
to three paragraphs with two questions on each paragraph. Each question pertaining to a particular
passage should have Only ONE Correct Answer among the four given choices (A), (B), (C) & (D).
 Marking scheme: +3 for correct answer, 0 if not attempted and –1 Mark in all other cases.
3. Section III contains 4 “Match the following” type questions and you will have to match entries in Column I
with the entries in Column II.
 Marking scheme: For each entry in Column I, +2 Marks for Correct answer, 0 if not attempted
and 1 in all other cases.
4. For answering a question, an ANSWER SHEET (OMR SHEET) is provided separately. Please fill your
Test Code, Roll No. and Group Properly in the space given in the ANSWER SHEET.
5. No candidate is allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers, pager, mobile
phone, any electronic device, etc., except the Admit Card inside the examination hall/room.
6. On completion of the test, the candidate must hand over the Answer Sheet to the Invigilator on duty in
the Room/Hall. However, the candidates are allowed to take away this Test Booklet with them.
7. No one will be permitted to leave the test room before the end of the test, i.e. 05.00 PM
