Assistant Education Officer

Post: Assistant Education Officer

Salary: £8 per hour
Job Purpose: To assist the education team in the delivery of the Jupiter
Artland Education Foundation programme.
Responsible to: Foundation Learning Coordinator/Education Director

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To assist with the delivery of our free termtime education programme across the
school age range and to adult commnunity groups – this will include giving tours
and hands on workshop activities.

2. To assist with weekly termtime Littlesparks (preschool) and Artsparks (5-8)

classes.

3. To assist and deliver summer holiday courses and workshops for all ages.

4. To lead children’s themed birthday parties for ages 5-12.

5. To manage our popular summer ArtHUT running drop in activities and our self led
resources.

6. Administrative tasks including taking education and course bookings and

payments, managing the education contact database and maintaining the
classroom and resource area.

The position is initially temporary from April to November 2015 and is on a freelance
basis.

• April, May and June: 3 days per week: Wed-Fri

• July and August: 5 days per week: Wed-Sun
• September, October and November: 3 days per week: Wed-Fri

The party leader role will give the opportunity to take on extra hours from the above – we
normally have 4 parties per weekend in April, May, June, September and October which
would add up to two days to the role.
