Stability Criteria
REGULATION
The crane operations for this barge to be done in Aft, Port and
Fwd directions only and the same are included in this document.
In Stbd side crane operation, the heel angle exceeds the
limiting value hence the operations on stbd side are not
permitted.
Site inspection has not been done. All the calculations are
based on the available drawings/documents
The Preliminary Trim and Stability booklet has been examined for
compliance with IS Code 2008, Part B, Chapter 2, Section 2.2 and
found to be in order for the documented conditions. The booklet is
prepared based on the information supplied by the client. The
accuracy of the trim & stability booklet depends on the accuracy
of the equipment information provided by the client.
c) Displacement, Δ
LCB, LCF and MCT1cm are taken from the hydrostatic tables
(trim = 0 m) corresponding to the actual displacement. The
trim is calculated according to the following formula:
Δ* (LCB-LCG)
Trim =
MCT1cm *100
Trim * Lf
Tf = TFP +
LBP

GZ Calculation:

FP Fr.21
Midship 1100mm Fwd of Fr.10
Frame Spacing Fr.0 to Fr.1, Fr.20 to Fr.21 = 2100mm

Note: The Weight and Center of Gravity used for the righting arms
above include tank loads. However, the tank load centers
were NOT ALLOWED TO SHIFT with heel and trim changes. Rather,
a constant Free Surface Moment of 228.3 m.-MT was applied
to artificially modify the CG.
Note: The Residual Righting Arms shown above are in excess of the
overturning arms derived from these moments (in m.-MT):
