The Resurrection Finance Council has been working very diligently to prepare for the 2019-2020 school year. The Finance Council
reviewed the previous years’ financials and the projected increases in expenses for the upcoming year. Just as each family is seeing an
increase in expenses, we are also seeing increases in the school expenses (such as insurance, salaries, utilities etc.). After careful review
of our budget, we have determined that we will have a slight increase in tuition for the 2019-2020 school year. This slight increase is a
direct result of diligent budgeting and conservative spending by the Parish and School staffs as well as fundraising activities conducted
throughout the year.
Over the past years, there has been some confusion of the pre-registration fee and registration fee. To eliminate this confusion, we will
be combining these fees into one registration fee due with the pre-registration form in March. The 2019-2020 registration fee will stay
the same as the 2018-2019 pre-registration and registration fees combined. We wanted to make sure families were aware of this
change as quickly as possible. If this causes budgetary issues with a family this year, please be in communication with us and we will
work with you to come up with a plan.
Tuition:
Scrip: This program will have the same requirements as the past five school years. Purchase requirement of $4,800 or
profit level of $400. Any questions regarding the scrip program please contact Deb Mitchell at dmitchell@evdio.org.
The direct cost to educate each child attending Resurrection School is over $7,020. In addition to the tuition paid by each family, the
remaining amount for each child’s Catholic education is subsidized by parish contributions and additional donations. As you can see,
your family’s tuition does not reflect the actual cost to educate your children. Your continued contribution to the parish as well as your
support and volunteer time for fundraising activities is key to our ability to maintain these tuition rates.
If you have any questions regarding this increase, please do not hesitate to call the Finance Council president, Jim Will Jr., at
812.963.3121.
Sincerely,
Resurrection Finance Council
