 INTRODUCTION

Microprocessor Colorimeter analyzer are compact and easy to operate

instruments for analysis of a solution of any concentration. Output is available

on the display in terms of Optical Density, % Transmission and three

concentration modes i.e. Cl, C2,C3. This is a unique system that combines

convenience with accuracy and precision in analysis.

This instrument includes a wide range of filter covering wavelength from

400nm to 700nm in the form of built-in-filters. The filter setting is controlled

by a rotating disc. A shutter switch is provided to avoid fatigue of the photocell.

When switch ON, lamp glow and light passes through the solution to the

photocell and measurement is taken light source is pre-focused tungsten lamp.

The instrument can measure Absorbance, % T and concentration for all End

Point Chemistries. The instrument is equipped with following features;

Compact, simple to use, digital mini analyzer. 1 ml Cuvette volume Display in

Absorbance, % T, Three Concentration modes Cl, C2 and C3. Automatic

calculation of results. Inbuilt memory retains last K factor for concentration

even after power loss. Advanced, long life "LCD" light source.

DESCRIPTION

The unit is compactly designed and consists of the following parts;

Filter Disc
Cuvette Holder
Digital Display (Display ABS, % T, C1, C2 and C3)
6 membrane switches with indicators to operate the instrument.

Keys Function

The instrument consists of 6 keys with following functions.

1. MODE KEY : This key is used to select the function like
% T ABS, CONC.1, CONC.2 or CONC. 3.

2. SET ZERO : To set %T 100 and ABS 00.0 on display

when blank is placed in cuvette holder

3. INC & DEC KEYS : These keys are used to change the
reading of C1 & C2 and C3 mode and are usable
only when the SET CONC. key activated. A single
press of this key will change display by one count.
However, if the key is kept pressed then the count
will change very rapidly so that the whole range
may be covered in a fairly short time.
4. SET CONC. : This key to set the conc. Value and to
check the last memory value setting

5. ENTER KEY : This key is used to save the standard

value of the solution in C1,C2 or C3 mode.

 OPERATION
1. Switch ON the instrument using ON/OFF switch provided at the back side
of the instrument. The instrument shows

AUTOMATICALLY %T ABS

Put the test tube with blank solution in the cuvette holder and press the Set Zero
Key. The display shows 100%T and 0.00 ABS.

2. Keeping the Mode on %T and ABS position, take reading in O.D.

3. Press the Mode Key to select the function CONC. 1 00.0 and again
pressing CONC. 2 0.00 and again pressing CONC. 3 000

4. Now press the Mode Key to C1 position and put the standard solution i.e.
H.B. Standard with 15.0 value in the cuvette holder and Press the SET
CONC. Key. The display will show the set value which already adjusted in
memory otherwise adjust 15.0 on display by using INC & DEC keys. The
display shows
CONC. 1

SET VAL: 15.0

5. Now press ENTER key to store this standard value i.e. 15.0 in C1 memory.
This value will be stored in C1 memory.

6. Now keeping this mode, we can take the readings of different tests.

7. As per above procedure C2 and C3 memories can also be used for other
standard storage.
8. We can store three standards on C1 C2 & C3 CONC.

chemical blood test.

SERVICING

This Instrument required little maintenance and servicing as such except when the
LED is required to be changed. The Instrument can be opened by unscrewing 4 screws
on the button cover.

WARRANTY

This Instrument is warranted of site for a period of 18 months from the date of delivery
against defects in material or workmanship other than the photocell. During warranty
period our liabilities limited to the repair or replacement of the instrument at our
option.

The photocell is warranted only for 3 months from the date of delivery.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
Many apparent malfunctions are caused by slight miss adjustment of the regular
contract or by some other equally simple cause. If any difficulty arises in the operation
of your instrument, first check through the illustrated list of systems and correction.

SYMPTOMS CHECK THESE THINGS

- Lamp not glowing 1. Check AC supply.

2. Three pin plug may be loose.

3. Lamp may be fused, replace it.

- Reading unstable 1. Check the position of the Test Tube, it

may not be properly placed.

2. Check the value of sample in the test tube, it

should not be less than 1.0 ml.

WARNING

To Prevent Fire or Shock Hazard, do not expose this

instrument to rain or moisture
