CAREER OBJECTIVE

I hope to work with students and help make an impacting difference in their education. Students in my
classroom will only be educated with culturally appropriate and developmentally appropriate practices. I
will make a difference in the special education field. I have worked with special needs students for most
of my life and I have the necessary experience to work with them. I have worked with younger children
throughout my high school career and I participated in a laboratory school for a three year program in
Old Bridge High school and I continue to participate in schoolwide events to increase professional
development.

WORK EXPERIENCE
SUBSTITUE TEACHING, Middletown Township, Old Bridge Township January
January 2017-ongoing.
 Substitute taught in Middletown Township and Old Bridge Township for two years.
 Worked with Elementary School students in Alan B. Shepard and Memorial Elementary.
 Worked with special education students in multiple grade levels.
 Worked in a self-contained classroom with students with severe needs.

Substitute Paraprofessional, Apr 2018 – Jun 2018
Assisted a kindergarten teacher with classroom management.
Graded kindergartners work and helped teacher redistribute papers into their folders.
Assisted fifth grade teacher with managing students behavior and their academic questions.
Worked one on one with a student with ADHD to assist with academics and behavior inside the
classroom.
Kept track of a behavior management chart for a student with ADHD.
Attended school events and field trips with the fifth graders to assist as a teacher and chaperone.

I am very on top of my work. Throughout my working life I have never missed a due date.
I am a team player, I have cooperated with educational groups in order to come together for a
cause.
I am organized, I have folders for all of my papers and important documents.
Spoke on behalf of Monmouth University's Education Department on open house to educate
incoming students about the educational career field.
Worked with Council for Exceptional Children at Monmouth University to fund raise money for
Special Olympics and Autism Awareness. I have also volunteered my time with CEC to visit
special needs schools to organize events and work with the students.
Volunteered with International Reading Association to read to students in lower income areas. I
have also worked with them to help offer resources to bilingual students.
Volunteered in community events in West Long Branch, Middletown and Old Bridge.
Assisted with school sponsored events in Middletown Township, and participated in schoolwide
functions to engage students across multiple disciplinaries.
Volunteered with the Monmouth University School of Education to host education connection
meetings between freshman and sophomores.
Participated in the Teacher Residency Program, to obtain substitute teaching licenses and
volunteer experience.
I have tutored elementary students in reading and writing.
