Reg.no FA17-BEE-081
 Impedance Analyzer:
It is used to measure impedance of an AC system, measure the ratio of voltage to the current in
ohms . this equipment use probs to measure impedance of the system.

 Digital Megohmmeter:
Megohmmeter is a type of ohm meter which measures resistance of insulators . it provides
greater voltage upto 2KV to check resistance of insulator from 1 to 10 mega ohm
Digital Megohmmeter measures up to 4,000,000 MΩ at 5kV, with 10 test voltages: 500, 1000,
1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500 and 5000 V.

 Kelvin Double Bridge:

It is an instrument used to measure very low resistances which are less then 1ohm with
precision.

 Wheatstone Bridge:
It is used to find the resistance of unknown resistance with highly accurate measurements its
operation is like potentiometer.

 Lux Meter :
It is a device used to measure the brightness ,lux is its unit derived from candela which means
light of one candle.

 Digital Clamp Meter:

It is used to measure current by megnatic induction it is very convenient because it does not
disturbs the circuit to measure current.

 Portable Power Analyzer:

It measure electrical power characteristics of devices that uses or generate electricity.it is also
known as power or watt meter.

 Digital Earth Meter:

It is used to measure the resistivity of ground in order to ensure proper grounding of electrical
equipment.

 Temperature Sensor:
It gathers data aout temperature and convert it in to understand able form .
 LAN Tester:
It is used to determine IP addresses, identify polarity, connected port and link connectivity. They
can test fiber optic cables. They can also show cable break points and incorrect connections in
fiber optic lines.

 Multi-meter:
It is used to measure the resistances , voltages , currents and even used to check the polarity of
diodes and also very helpful for transistors .

 EMF Meter:
It is used to measure AC and DC currents, or fields of electricity within a system. Its sensitivity
varry but some can measure as low as 20 Hz.

 Capacitance Meter:
It is used to measure the capacitance of a given capacitor . the ability to test capacitance is in
some multimeters also.

 Galvanometer:
It is used to measure the presence ,the direction and power of currents , it was used it early
1800s and can be turned in to voltmeter and ammeter by just slight changes.

 Frequency Counter:
It is an instrument used to measure frequency , it usually measure the number of oscillations or
pulses per second in a repetitive electronic signal.

 LCR Meter:
It is used to test the electrical impedance of a piece of equipment, An LCR will also measure the
ability for an object to continue to hold an electrical charge. This is known as capacitance.

 Power Supplies:
it is a device that takes an incoming electrical current and amplifies it to levels required by
various devices.

 Watt Meter:
It is used to visualize the amount of electrical energy being supplied to a circuit ,it measures in
watt which are standard units.

 Phase Sequence Meter:

It is used to check the sequence of the supply in three-phase electric circuits, direction of three
phase motors can be changed by changing sequence.
 QNET Mechatronic Sensors Trainer for NI ELVIS:
It is used to teach and demonstrate the fundamentals of interfacing with mechatronic sensors, it
is configured to utilize a wide variety of sensors .

Critical Analysis / Conclusion:

In this lab we have learnet about various equipments their working, uses and benefits and
observed some of the instrument in the lab . After this lab we are capable of identifiying some
devices and know their principle of working and usage. This lab was very helpful for us due to
which now we know some basics of many equipments we are going to use in this smester.
