 Construction of Community-based health planning services (CHPS) compounds at selected
locations in Ghana-Oshiyie, Greater Accra
Progress Report: January 31st - March 16th 2019.
China Hualong construction(GH) Ltd had its site handed over to on November 2nd,
2018.We mobilized to site on January 25th 2019.We further carried out actual works on site on the
January 31st, 2019.Further state of works at both the Clinic and staff accommodation blocks is as
follows in this report.
In our latest monthly progress report dated February 7, 2019 we reported that the Overall
actual progress of on-going construction activities at the Oshiyie site stands at of the San Agustin
Supermarket is already finished. We further plan an overall forecast plan of achieving 30% in one
time of actual works at both Clinic and staff accommodation blocks. Below are the completed
activities at both Clinic and Staff accommodation blocks on site site

 Site clearance
 Establishment of spot heights and benchmarks
 Earthworks
 Excavation for foundation pits
 Reinforcement for foundation and footing columns
 Casting of column bases
 Casting of footing columns
 Laying of footing walls and columns
 Hardcore filling and compaction

The following works have been forecasted to be achieved at both Clinic and Staff residence blocks as
of our next site meeting:

 Casting of oversite concrete

 Casting of columns
 Laying of internal and external blockwall
 Casting of lintels

The site recorded two major incidences from the locals which haulted activites for three (3) days,
below are incidences:
 A lady claiming ownership of the land on which construction activities for the CHPS
compound project is ongoing.

 Another group of individuals from the chief’s palace claiming we halt activities for them
to carry out traditional rights on the land because they believe the said land in question
once has a god installed on the said land.

Our latest site meeting held which attendees from both factions as well as the honorable Member
of parliament and the Municipal chief executive of the electoral area represented came to one
accord to solve the issues stated above to enable us to carry out works smoothly.
