Reaction Paper

On March 5, 2019, we attended day 2 of seminar conducted by ECE

students with the help of AECES Officers. The officers assigned ICT, our track, for the
technical part of the seminar. First to discuss was from the speaker from ICT, Dennis
Lindez. The topic he chose to share to us was Cloud Computing Technologies. We
learned that cloud computing is the on demand availability of computer system resources,
especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the
user. It is one of the in-demand career in this industry where technology is continuously
growing. Second speaker was from the track Power Electronics, Engr. Rhodora Castro –
Garganta. She discussed the Introduction to Power Electronics, which was relevant not
only to the Power Electronics track but also to the Electronics Engineering itself. Third
was Engr. Mar Francis De Guzman from Satellite Communications group. Lastly was
Engr. Jezer D. Busbus. He discussed the fundamentals of Leadership and Management.

In the seminars conducted, we realized that ECE course holds different

career paths; May it be Communications, Information and Communication Technology,
Instrumentation and Control, Power Electronics and many more. The seminar helped us
to dig up more information about the different ECE tracks. It also made us realize that we
have to choose our career very wisely for it will be our stepping stone in achieving our
dreams in life.
