Power Factor Correction using AC-DC pulse width modulated active clamped zero
voltage switched boost converter.

DESCRIPTION :

USAGE of power electronic (PE) converters is ever increasing in the processing of

electrical energy in industrial applications such as adjustable speed drives (ASD), SMPSs,
UPSs, etc. Therefore, the converters with high power factor are increasingly required in
industries. The proposed converter has higher efficiency and maintains an input power-factor
almost unity, with regulated output voltage, and ZVS for all the switches even under variable
load conditions.
