Easter

Normally, Easter is the most important celebration of the Christian Church, where the

Resurrection of Jesus Christ is commemorated on the third day after being crucified, according to

the Gospels canónicos. Also, is part of the Easter Holy Week where the "Good Friday" the

crucifixion of Jesus is celebrated, and the "Easter Sunday" Resurrection and his first appearance

to his disciples celebrated. But this celebration differs in Ecuador and the United States, do not

forget that there are also similarities.

First of all, Ecuador Easter is Easter, which is one of the most important holidays; they take

a variety of celebrations and ceremonies in different cities out. This event has an important

connection with food. The most important holiday in this dish is a thick soup called Fanesca. The

tradition is to eat this saucer on Maundy Thursday, as the Last Supper, but today has become a

very popular dish that can be found during the whole week in many Ecuadoreans restaurants. It’s

prepared with dried cod and a selection of different grains and vegetables from the Ecuadorian

highlands. They say Fanesca must carry at least 12 grains and vegetables, as they represent the 12

disciples, and that fish represents Jesus.

In contrast, the celebration of Easter in the United States to become a holiday week, but now

the spring break (Spring Break) school does not necessarily coincide with Easter or Passover. In

public schools, depending on the state and even county holiday that week occur before, during or

even after Easter. It is common to organize Easter egg hunts, or chocolate egg hunt, with children.
This is often done on Easter Sunday. Families hide plastic eggs filled with candy or a little treat,

and children find them. Also parks, schools, churches and other organizations organize these

celebrations in which children can also make crafts like decorating boiled eggs, Easter rabbits or

draw.

Nowadays, Easter in these two countries are very diverse. While in Ecuador there are large

religious deployments, although some people celebrate by going to church, in the United States

enhances the rabbit and chocolate eggs. But do not forget that there are also similarities, as that is

a party where family are united in sharing pleasant moments with friends.

In conclusion, the Passover is the largest and oldest Christian party. A religious holiday

celebrated on the first full moon of spring. Lthough, around the world have different meanings,

analyze Ecuador and the United States vary yes, but where there is that affection for sharing and

happily spend with loved ones.
