Edited camera tests and 90 second trailer

Three students in a group

1. Edit together and add titles with explanations to the camera tests (Canon C500, Arri
Amira, URSA MINI 4.6K, Panasonic AJ-PX800GH)

Work has following stages:

1. Syncing the video and audio files

2. Edit in Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere Pro

3. Export to ProTools (sync PIP-s, test-tone -20dB) and import to Protools

4. Sound edit and mix in ProTools

• Cleaning the audio
• Stereo 2.0 mix (loudness according to EBU R128)

5. Color grading the original footage in Davinci Resolve (In Rec709)

• Upscale Panasonic 1080p footage to 4K

6. Final 4K master export to:

• 4K format Apple ProRes 422 HQ master file

• Create BluRay disk (one disk with two clips and simple menu)
• In Digital Centre create DCP (Digital Cinema Package) - Flat 1.85:1

2. Edit together trailer (90 seconds)

Work has following stages:

1. Sync video and audio files in Davinci Resolve, export ProRes 422HQ offline material

2. Edit in Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere Pro

3. Export to ProTools (sync PIP-s, test-tone -20dB) and import to Protools

4. Sound edit and mix in ProTools

• Read in voiceover
• Use Automated Dialogue replacement ADR (at least once)
• Use sound effects from sound library
• Add foley sound effects
• 5.1 final mix (loudness according to cinema standards)

5. Color grading the original footage in Davinci Resolve or Nucoda Filmmaster

6. Add English subtitles in Sublime

7. Final result export as:

• Apple ProRes 422 HQ master file
• Create BluRay disk (one disk with two clips and simple menu)
• In Digital Centre create DCP (Digital Cinema Package) - Flat 1.85:1
For grading present:

For both assignments copy to course folder DROPBOX (In SharedStorage):

1. Edited final version (FCPX Library or Adobe Premiere Pro Project)

2. Final ProTools project with audio files
3. Final Davinci Resolve project
4. DCP (Digital Cinema Package) – to be checked in cinema hall

Physical medium:
