Your team has been selected as the network consultant for this project. The CEO requires your
team’s expertise to take on the responsibility of proposing the network, the necessary
equipment and any other operational requirements for their newly established
entertainment centre.

REQUIREMENTS

1. You are required to complete the assignment in a group of not more than 4 members. No
individual submission is allowed for the 1st attempt.

2. Word count for this assignment is approximately 6000 words (1500 words per students).
All configurations are not included in the word count, and can be shown in the form of
screenshot.

3. You are required to build a complete computer network environment for the new
entertainment centre, supported with a good research work.

4. Design the floor plan using Microsoft Visio and provide configuration of the logical
network diagram using Cisco Packet Tracer. Submit the softcopy of floor plan and
network diagram (configuration) together with the assignment.

5. Apart from the proposed design and configuration, discuss the current trends and issues in
networking such as server technologies (ALPHA) , BYOD (CAFETERIA), cloud

computing (GAMMA) and Internet of Things (GAMMA) that found to be relevant to the
scenario.

6. You are required to develop a Gantt chart (project plan) that indicates clearly the activities
that are required in order for the project to be a success (Kim).

7. Attach the completed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Marking Scheme in your
final report. WBS must be signed and agreed by all group members (adib).

8. The report has to be well presented and should be typed. Submission of reports that are
unprofessional in its outlook (dirty, disorganised, inconsistent look, varying coloured paper
and size) will not fair well when marks are allocated.

9. Ensure that the report is printed on standard A4 (210 X 297 mm) sized paper. Paper weight
of 80 grams and above is highly recommended.

10. The report should have a one (1”) margin all around the page as illustrated below:

1 inch 1 inch

11. Every report must have a front cover. A transparent plastic sheet can be placed in front of
the report to protect the front cover. The front cover should have the following details:-

a) Name of group members.

b) Intake code.

c) Subject.

d) Project Title.

e) Date Assigned (the date the report was handed out).

f) Date Completed (the date the report is due to be handed in).

12. Plagiarism is a serious offence and will automatically be awarded zero (0) marks.

13. All information, figures and diagrams obtained from external sources MUST be referenced
using the Harvard referencing system accordingly.

You have to hand in your assignment hardcopy on time with the Course Work Submission and
Feed Back Form.

For students who have to re-do the assignment (failed the 1st attempt), produce the
assignment individually. Complete the group section and choose one individual section
for the new submission.
