If an object sinks in a liquid, its density is greater than the density of the liquid.
If an object floats in a liquid, its density is less than the density of the liquid.
Procedure:
1. The mass of the floating object was found using the balance.
2. The displacement can was filled up to the sprout until it started to pour.
3. A string was tied to the sinker to avoid splashing the water.
4. The sinker was immerged completely into the beaker.
5. The displaced water was caught simultaneously using a measuring
cylinder.
6. The volume was found by subtracting the initial volume from the final.

Conclusion:
The density of the floating object was found successfully , It was found to be 0.0188 gcm-

hence our aim was met.
Limitations:
❋ Sources of error
It was made sure that the displacement can was filled to the sprout until it
start to drip.
It was made sure that the experiment was done three times to ensure an
accurate measurement was obtained.
It was made sure no disturbance occurred while taking the measurements.
It was made sure the readings were taken from the lower meniscus
❋Precaution
There could have been a Parallax error
