- As feedback sts can come and stick the correct word next to the corresponding digit on
the whiteboard
- Wipe out the digits on the whiteboard so only the written numbers remain
- Test them individually if they can recall which number is which from the writing on the wb
- Write out the numbers (digits and written word) into their books
- As they finish pair them up to test each other (they can work in 2s or 3s with one mini-
whiteboard per group; one st looks at the numbers in the book & tells the other st which
number to write on the wb… Any mistakes shld be corrected orally ie. without showing
them the answer)!
- Let them know there will be a test on Friday… Show them on the wb how to do
look/cover/copy/check and give them 5 mins to practice this
- EXTRA TIME… If they have tired of numbers play Stop the Bus with a country, animal
and food
A0 Tue.
- Board race with numbers (written form)... Include half and quarter (check before starting
they know these)!
- Follow-up quick f/b to correct errors, check pron and check recall etc.
- Board 1pm, 1.30pm and 2.00pm… Elicit how to say this in English
- AFTER add the additional times in between … elicit and board ‘past’ & ‘to’
