Precautions:
Binder clips of WINBO 3D printer are used to fix the glass and prevent the glass from sliding during printing. It is
no need to put too many clips on the glass and make sure the glass is not moved during printing and the clips
do not cause obstruction to the extruder movement. For too many clips on the glass for long time use, it may
cause deformation to the glass as well as well the heating bed. Please refer to below photos:

E. Machine Tests
You may need to test the machine first before printing.
Check the movement on each axis.
1) Check the X-axis. If it moves, it is OK.
12
Version:WB. CL. V04.
Go to the LCD panel and choose “Prepare” → ”Move Axis” → ”Move 1mm” → ”Move X” and press the
control knob. If the X-axis moves, it is OK.
2) In the same way, you may check the movement on Y and Z axis accordingly.
Check the heating process.
Go to the LCD panel and choose “Temperature” → ”Preheat” and press the control knob. Go back to the
main menu and watch temperature fluctuations. If it is on the rise, it is OK.
Notes: by preheating the machine, you may save time waiting for the printing. You may stop the heating by
go to “Temperature” → ”Cooldown”.

Usually, in order to level the build plate well in a quicker way, we need to level it during printing. Since the bed is
hot, please be careful enough to protect any burns.
Attention: Since there is processing error to the glass plate as well as the bed, the square line’s thickness may
be different from time to time. In this case, you need to level the build plate until there is pressing signs on the
square line while it is not too thin.

Tips: If the filament refuses to go into the feeder, you may need to preheat the extruder first and then go to the
LCD pane: “Temperature” → ”Load filament” → ”Fast load 500mm” . After that, you may push the filament
into the feeder as shown below:

Steps:
1) Choose “change filament” on the menu, the platform will go down and the nozzle will go back to the original
position.
2) Pull out the transparent tube and take the spool away.
3) Put the new material on the spool holder and make sure the material could extrude in a smooth way.

4. Unloading;
5. Put back the blue buckle.
Files of gcode format from both Cura and Win Ware softwares are accepted by Winbo 3D printers. Put the
Gcode files on the SD card and 3D printers carry out the task of 3D modeling from Gcode’s instructions.
You may get the Cura or Win Ware softwares for installation inside the machine’s SD card. Also you may
download the latest versions of software as well as the User Manual on our website:
http://community.winbo.cn/index.php?m=download
For operation instructions for Win Ware software, please refer to “User Manual for Win Ware”.
Attention: the name of the Gcode files should be contained with only English letters, numbers or certain
half-angle symbols.
Model files of STL and OBJ formats can be recognized by the operation software. STL files are
recommended.
Attention: Normally, you need to preheat and try extrusion first. When the extrusion is OK, you may choose
the related Gcode file to start printing.

Take out the glass Cooling down Soak them in the cold water

Use a shovel to remove the model Clean the glass with water
Attention: when the printing is finished, it is no need to rush to separate the model with the glass plate. You may
need to wait some time for cooling down.

1) Go to the LCD menu and choose “Stop and Save” to stop the printing and save the related settings
to Winbo.G file.
2) The extruder will go back to the original position.
3) Proceeding to the operation and you may power the machine off.
4) Go to the main menu and choose “Print from SD” and choose Winbo.G file to start printing.
3.Other solutions to continue the print
When there are accidents happen during the printing process, such as material getting stuck, inadequate
material, clogged noozle, sudden power cuts or other unknown reasons, you may modify the related Gcodes to
continue the print for certain models.
1)Clean the model and keep the printing surface to be neat and smooth. Please mind that never move the
glass plate while cleaning the model.
2)You need to find out the Z position according to the current printing work.If the power is cut already, you
may need to get the Z axis back to the original position and then move it down again. And then, move the
extruder by hand to find out the appropriate value for Z axis.
3) Use the software to modify the .Gcode file, you may refer to the Win Ware User Manual.
19
Version:WB. CL. V04.
4) Choose the new .Gcode file on the menu and continue the print.
Attention: No matter what are you going to do to continue the print, please mind that the model as well as
the glass plate must be kept in the original position. Otherwise, there will be deviation layers or imperfect
layers during printing. Other parts that can not be moved before continuing the print:
The limit switches or the parts on extruder which will touch the limit switches, can not be adjusted when
auton home the extruder.
Also any firmware that will effect the nozzle’s relative position can not be adjusted when auto home the
extruder.

H. Machine Maintenance
WINBO 3D printers can work for dozens of hours continually. After long time working, some parts on the
machine may go through wear and tear. We kindly advice that you should apply maintenance to the machine
every month.
Machine casing
Clean the machine casing with soft cloth, to remove the dust and plastic fragment.
Axis
When you find that there is unpleasant noise or intense vibration on the axis, it is time to lubricate them.
Apply some lube on the axis with a cloth.
Feeder cleaning
After long time working, you may find certain amount of residuals on the feeder which may effect the
feeding quality. Therefore, the feeder require contant cleaning. You may need a brush as shown below:
210-230℃ for PLA printing while 230-240℃ for ABS printing. If so, you may use ABS’s printing
temperatue at first to melt PLA for some time and then lower down the temperature to PLA printing.
3. There are some impurities on the material which causes nozzle cloggings.
Solution 1:
Steps:
21
Version:WB. CL. V04.
2) Use the needle that is included in the tool kit to insert into the nozzle from the bottom. If the needle
could not enter the nozzle smoothly, rotate the needle slightly to help it go through the nozzle. The needle
may go inside for about 10mm. After inserting, you may push and pull for serveral times to remove the
residuals on the nozzle through the resistance.
3) Pull out the needle and extrude the material by hand to see the result. For better effect, you may need
to unclog the nozzle for serveral times.

4 5 6
Go to the LCD panel: Temperature → Preheat to heat up the nozzle to 230℃. Pull out the transparent tube and
5) Seeing the clogged material on the nozzle as shown on the Photo 5,heat up the nozzle to 230℃.
6) Use a piecs of pliers to bite the cooling aluminum block and separate the fan and the nozzle with
fingers: avoid heating extruder to damage the fan. Use a piece of filament clipping to remove the
clogged material inside.
7) Attention: high temperature operation, be cautious.
8) Other solutions: change a new nozzle.
Go to the LCD panel: Temperature → Preheat to heat up the nozzle to 230℃. Use a piece of Allen wrench and
a common wrench to take down the nozzle as shown on the above photos: pay attention to the twisted direction,
as well as the twisting strength. Use a piece of tweezers to take out the nozzle that is inside the Allen wrench.
And then you may put on a new nozzle and the printer can start work again now.
Level the Supporting Aluminum Shafts for the Build Plate [Applicable for Dragon (S) and
Tiger (s)]
Afte After using the machine for a certain period, the supporting aluminum shafts for the build plate may
get unleveled. In this case, you need to level them accordingly.
