TOPIC - SCIENCE CITY

A Science City is a place where three types of people come. First, the crowd coming for
enjoyment and purpose of recreation; Second, the students who come to the place for
educational purpose and trips. Third, the people who come for Research work.
Popularization of science to create scientific temper in the community is a priority in the
emerging environment of knowledge-driven economic growth. Besides many other things a
Science Centre is a place which not only entertains the visitors but also plays a significant role
in improving their knowledge and exhibits many informative and interesting elements.
On the other hand, the purpose of a Science City is same as a Science Center but the scale
changes in this case and so does the effectiveness. It consists of many buildings which are again
complimented by interesting landscape elements. In most of the Science Cities, the basic
building elements those are present are a space theatre, an evolution park and a main exhibition
hall to exhibit the elements. A whole sector runs to achieve a certain aim that is to educate and
entertain the visitors. It will showcase contemporary and imaginative exhibits, minds on
experiences, working models, virtual reality, activity corners, labs and live demonstrations to
provide an understanding of science and technology to the population.
The project is aimed at cultivating an interest in science through open-ended exploration away
from text books and black boards, with a scientific approach to problem solving. The project
has something for everyone, regardless of age, education, profession or social strata and is
intended to make science accessible to people who are not part of the formal education system.
