Introduction:
There are many ways to save our environment. First, do not litter. Instead, use
the litter bins provided by the authority. As a responsible society, we should recycle the
rubbish. Usually there are three recycle bins for the recyclable materials like glasses,
plastic and papers. So, use them wisely. If you just dump your rubbish everywhere, the
place will be a breeding ground for flies which will spread dangerous diseases.
Apart from that, we must keep the drains clean. If the drains are not clean and
they a clogged by dead leaves or rubbish, they will be a suitable place for the
mosquitoes to breed. Certain mosquitoes can cause dangerous diseases like dengue
fever and malaria which can be fatal.
Next, we must keep the rivers clean. If our rivers are polluted, the aquatic life like
fish, prawns and crabs will be extinct due to the toxic substances released by the
households or factories. The government can curb this problem by taking actions on
those who are polluting our rivers by reinforcing the law or by imposing harsher
penalties on the culprits.
The last and significant way to keep our environment clean is to stop open
burning. Open burning should be avoided as it will produce acidic or harmful gases like
CFC, carbon monoxide and other dangerous gases. This will cause the depletion of the
ozone layer and affect our respiratory system. Besides, open burning can also cause
haze problem. This kind of air pollution can distract our view when driving. The harmful
gases released will also cause green house effect and global warming. So, we must
cooperate to avoid open burning.
Conclusion :
As a conclusion, all parties must stand hand in hand to save our environment. If
we keep on polluting our environment, our future generations will suffer due to our
irresponsible actions. Start conserving our environment as it is better to be late than
never. If we don’t start now, who will?

Sample answer :
Discipline problem in schools has become a pebble in a shoe. Day in day out we
have come across students who are involved in discipline problems. To overcome this
problem, there is a solution, whether to cane or not to cane the students.
I agree with RezaI and strongly believe that caning should be banned in schools.
This is because caning is not effective at all as students will get into trouble after being
caned. For example, they will take revenge on the teachers or the discipline teachers
after they are punished. We have come across in the mass media, how teachers are
being beaten by their own students and how their cars are being scratched.
Another reason why I think students should not be caned, is because they
cannot accept harsh punishment. We should refer them to the counselor and give them
counseling and advices, especially if it is their first case. By going through counseling
sessions, they may turn over a new leaf and become a better person. So, caning is not
a good solution to any disciplinary problems.
In a nutshell, I still believe that Rezal has got his points right that caning is
ineffective for most students. There are two sides to every question and caning is not
the only solution to disciplinary problems. Where there is a will, there is away.
