strengths — We have great senior leadership many of whom have been playing varsity
soccer their entire career at Cadillac. In addition, we have a fantastic group of very technical
underclassmen who provide speed and scoring ability. We are a team that strives to put each
other first and ourselves second — focusing on what will make our team great.
working on — With the combination of seniors and very young players, we will spend much
of our preseason trying to fit all our team pieces together. It takes time to figure out each other’s
strengths and personalities so we can be playing great combination soccer by the start of BNC.
As always, we will work hard on our fitness so we can finish games stronger than our opponent.
coach: jen van noord style — Cadillac soccer is great possession soccer. We like to keep team possession until we see
record — 10-4-2
that right passing moment to score with speed and quickness. We are a strong, organized
accomplishments — second in the Big North Conference with 10 shutouts, .075 average
defensive team — not giving up many scoring opportunities. Our goal is to shut out our opponent
goals allowed per game
every game not just score more goals than they do.
returnees — 8 returning seniors - Goalkeeper Mollie Mockler (1st team BNC last season);
center midfielders Sanna Meyjes and Karli Scott; defenders Bailey McLaurin, Libby Blackmer,
conference — Cadillac has won the BNC four out of the last six years and we came in
second the other two. We expect to win the BNC this year and won’t settle for less. We don’t take
Kristen Goodrich and Katie Bartman, and forward Emily Baughan. One returning junior in defender
any team in the BNC lightly and we know we will get great physical matches from Gaylord,
Maddie Johnson and one sophomore in midfielder Molly Anderson
Petoskey and both TC teams.
newcomers — Because of the incredible run by our girls basketball team, I have not yet
solidified my roster. I will be adding five or six more to the roster — a combination of freshmen and
goals — Win BNC; win districts and get to the regional finals
sophomores
big games — Girls soccer in the Big North is extremely physical & high-quality which prepares
us for postseason games.
