copies....

Good idea. Make an intro poster. Check out webdesigners/ CSS/
WP template designers/ photographers/ painters portfolios (I mean,
their sites). Sites like smashingmag, webdesignerdepot, macrofolio,
etc. can help you.
The interface is the key. Keep an eye on that. Good luck!

about the portfolio...its a really good idea i should say.. website
works real good...i ll mail u sum good designers websites as well
within this week...u can check out their links
but i would suggest u not to have a download format bcoz ppl can
easily use it anytime howmuch ever of privacy settings u have.... its
better on a website and u can make it interactive and use more a
flash based site...
u can go ahead with the website idea but at the same time u need
to have an hardcopy of ure portfolio as well! advisable!
i ll surely mail u more on this very soon...i can get u some good stuff
to look at well..

softwares knowledge in photoshop,presentation softwares as well

go for the website.... definitely it will be a plus point... you can also
post videos of yourself addressing the firms and architects too... so
yeah,,, website has that plus point... i mean who wouldn't want to
see a video instead of plain boring pictures.... yes... you can attach
that pdf. ..... but i think if you make a sexy website that should be
more than enough...

it w ill add in the long run as a record of ur w ork
online portfolios r aw esome in the sense tht it can b v iewed anywhere and anytime
but w en it comes to gettin the job..its ur w ork tht actually matters..so make sure ur best works r
show cased
see..the firms now r lookin for cheap labour..and 3d model developers is even better
but..since rev it has mostly orthographic and 3d done simultaneously..dont think it shd b a problem
maintain a balance wen showcasing the works
they w ant drafts ppl
man..drafting is compulsory

designing w ill b there too..but dont keep a lot of expectations
30 to 50 assumin u do it per project
y ea..the good stuff..preferably the best which highlights ur capabilities
so they get an idea w at u r good at
i w ud adv ise..arrange it as per y ear ..per project
a small w riteup on each project will help them understand it

hey dude ill be frank with you yaar.....what i learnt in my training:
1. if you have a recommendation or a link to the firm you are
heading to...superb you'll learn a lot and save a lot of discrimination
2.be sure of the firm you are going to....what they work on and what
software do they use:
with this ill take on your website idea...
Architects see your skills in architecture i.e. your designing skills
and your hand at CAD
So ill suggest you spend this sem on the design problem that will be
given to you and make some good stuff out of it.... probably the
centeral focus of your portfolio if you dont already have one.
A lesson: ...trainees are more or less a liability. Good architects give
you the knowledge and serve their social responsibilities and there
are Architects that just want cheap labor.
so until and unless you are sure of the firm you are heading into,
beware; Because you might end up updating their site and making
3d mods for them(i.e. fhkd up GPA)
Nonetheless your idea is new...if you do go for it make sure it
doesn't overshadow your actual architectural work.
