Abstract

In today’s competitive world there is need for faster rate of production of agriculture products.
The agriculture sector has occupied 43% of geometrical area of India. Agriculture plays a vital
role in Indian economy. Generally, in the cultivation of farm like Toor dal, Soybean plants etc.,
there is problem of growing Grass (weeds/unwanted plants) at the middle part of two adjacent
crops so it became difficult to the farmers to carry the process of removing it from field, Because
they absorbs large amount of nutrients, water, fertilizers & Sunlight from the crops, occupies
more space in the farm & grow at faster rate than the other crops. So, there is decrease in
Productivity of Crops yield & Crop quality, it is also harmful for human beings, animals etc.

Therefore to reduce the Weed it can be overcame by Spraying Weed killer (Herbicides)
chemical, in agricultural sector generally farmer uses traditional way, that is sprayer carried on
backpack and sprays to the crop, by using this new principle we demonstrated agricultural
reciprocating multi sprayer. It facilitates uniform spread of the chemicals, capable of throwing
chemicals at the desired level, precision made nozzle tip for adjustable stream and capable of
throwing foggy spray depending on requirement.

In our project we have used slider crank mechanism to convert rotary motion into reciprocating
motion to operate the pump. The spraying can be done in two ways by Manually &
Automatically by operation of rotary pump. Therefore the required amount of Weed Killer is
sprayed. This work gives continuously flow of Weed killer at required pressure and can be
adjusted in vertical & horizontal manner of Nozzles. The adjacent crops are covered while
spraying the ‘Herbicides’ in order to avoid the damage of crops. By using agricultural sprayer,
maximum area can be covered by spraying, weeding time is reduced, and ease of operation,
Multipurpose use of operation, human efforts reduces and results in cost reduction.
