3. Hazards Identification
1) Inhalation : Master Batch is not respirable as solid. During melt-processing, fumes
irritating to the eyes, nose and throat may be evolved. Exposure may
result in redness, itching and tearing of the eyes and soreness in the
nose and throat together with coughing.
2) Skin contact : No significant adverse effects are known but cleansing the skin after
use is advisable.
3) Eye contact : No significant adverse effects are known but, in case of contact,
immediate flushing eyes with plenty of clean water is recommended.
4) Ingestion :
a) Short-term effect : May cause emesis & diarrhea.
b) Long-term effect : No information is available.

4. Emergency and First Aid Measures


1) Inhalation : No specific information is indicated, as the Master Batch itself is not
likely to be hazardous by inhalation. Consult a physician if necessary.

2) Eye contact : Rinse & flush the affected eye and at the same time keep the
unaffected eye well protected.
3) Skin contact : Not likely to be hazardous by skin contact but cleansing the
skin after use is advisable.
4) Ingestion : In case of emesis, keep the patient’s head down to avoid
obstruction of the airway and seek medical assistance.

polymer can be combusted only with difficulty.

b) Remove container from fire area if it can be done without risk.
c) Do not scatter spilled material with high-pressure water streams.
