NARRATIVE REPORT
SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT OFFICERS AND APPOINTEES

2018-2019
SSG is the highest-ranking organization and policy making body in the tertiary level so far as the
affairs of the students are concerned. It has the right to determine and to implement its own policies
and for purposes of carrying out its objectives and principles subject to the rules and regulations
prescribed by the school as well as the constitution of the Republic of the Philippines.
Last February 2018, Carmen National High School conducts an election for the new set of SSG
Officers, the one who manage the things during the time that they will be having their school
activities. Two party lists were challenge to confront for the school, running for volunteerism.
Meanwhile, the newly set of selected SSG Officers are as follows:

Carmen National High School Summer Reading Camp 2018
As the days passed by, the SSG Officers have our school duties from April just to
monitored and secure the Cleanliness of our school. We were at school, for we were
also decorating the SSG bulletin boards by our own financial assistance. The first meeting was
followed on the following days to organize the Carmen National Action Plan 2018-2019.
Furthermore, we were definitely in rush hour ahead because we were task by the
teachers to invite some of the students, most especially the Grade 7, to attend and join the
Summer Reading Camp. And certainly, there were about 30 students or more who attended the
said activity for the two consecutive weeks of activities. This activity was facilitated by the
teachers of Carmen National High School who taught the students to have more ideas for the
upcoming high school especially those freshmen.
But fortunately, the SSG officers were not totally complete at that time, because some
of the SSG Officers had their summer vacation with their family, yet there were also who stayed
here in the city for a certain reason and purpose at school. In that case, in some activities, only
few of the officers were participating and attending in definite activities. As a matter of fact, it’s
too bad for us to hear that some officers didn't pay attention to the succeeding activities or
programs. Some were not neither helping nor not doing their assigned duties and task. Some
are busy to their appointments. Hence, the remaining active and lively SSG Officers authorize it
all by themselves was actively participating in such pro, and I, indeed, participated because I
really want it too.
Sir Sabuero helped us to manage the school’s Summer Reading Camp to
make things not bored to the attendees. Students who are involved in this activity were
very much happy.
Some other days that there were no open classrooms at that time in Junior High
School, that’s why we go to the Senior High Building to the Summer Reading Camp
Activity.
At the last day of Summer Reading Camp, we were tasks to take responsibilities
in providing games to the students at the Conference Room. We contribute financially to
buy prizes after the games. The program contains jingle presentations and funny
games. Everyone enjoys so much that we cannot draw the happiness they have in their
faces. They learned a lot of things and cherished every memories we’ve created

Club Leadership Training
Everybody deserves to be aware in maintaining the different aspects of our

health. Our Physical, Intellectual, Social, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual health.
The SSG Officers of Carmen National High School, together with the help of
assistance and guidance of Ma’am Suzienel Daayata, joined the Philippine Mental
Health Association, Incorporation, of Cagayan de Oro City Misamis Oriental Chapter in
partnership with the YMCA, and Pambansang Pangasiwaansa Kabuhayan at
Pagpapaunlad , entitled with a theme: “Mission Im Possible: Leaders of today as
Frontline Advocates of Change Tomorrow” held at the training room, 2nd Floor, City
Health Building, Hayes Street, Cagayan de Oro City last April 13, 2018 starting from
8am in the morning until 5pm in the afternoon
This is a youth life enrichment kind of leadership training wherein we were

deliberated as part of the Lusog Isip Ng Kabataan Club (LINK Club) Officers.
The program starts with an invocation, tailed by our National Anthem, and the
words of welcome by the Chair PMHA BOM, Ms. Grace Monsanto, afterwards. The
master of ceremony was Ms. Fretzie Rose Dante who also gave her overview and
nature about how really important our mental health was.
Furthermore 3 self-motivated guest speakers Ms. Mary Kris Gebe, Mr. Sylvester
Casino and Ms Stelle Ferrarez shared their valuable topics about the Qualities of being
a Leader, Understanding the effects of internet Addiction, and Workshop (Crafting of
Advocacy Plan) respectively. And with that, there were also a team building activities
headed by the PMHA staffs in supplement to their relevant topics. And indeed we’re
enjoying it and cultured something new that much.
There was also a video presentation about our output Critiquing shown to us,
followed by the Giving of Certificates, and Closing Remarks. Without doubt undeniably
this kind of Leadership Training enhances our leadership skills and at the same time the
memories we bond together makes our relationship stronger.

BRIGADA ESKWELA Showcases Spirit of

Volunteerism
Educators believe that environment plays a big part in

students’ learning. And so, if classrooms are not conductive to
learning because of poor condition and some detective school
facilities, education is hindered.
Carmen National High School conducted this year’s Brigada

Eskwela, also known as “National Schools Maintenance Week” on
May 28 to June 2, 2018 with the theme "Pagkakaisa Para sa Handa,
Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan,"
wherein the stakeholders, teachers, SSG officers of Carmen NHS,
students, parents, and relatives contributed their time, effort and
resources in ensuring that the school facilities are ready in time for
the school opening.
It was May 28, 2018, 8o’clock in the morning when Carmen

NHS conducts a parade. After the parade, a short opening program
before the brigade starts has followed. The program was hosted by
Mrs. Kenjie Nob and started with a prayer, followed by the National
Anthem. Subsequently, our Secondary School Principal, Dr. Gina
Labitad, and Mrs. Cora Vios, the assistant to principal, gave their
opening remarks respectively. An intermission number was
presented by the teachers and faculties who dance the joyous
zumba music led by Mrs. Daayata and Mrs. Lovenela Simbajon.
Afterwards, the registrations of Brigada and enrollment was
followed which was facilitated by the SSG officers who made their
duties and jobs well done until the designated day of the Brigada
week. I am the one who took the documentations around the
campus.
As everybody got busy in cleaning around the campus and to

their assigned cleaning designated areas, we, as well were busy in
keeping back the chairs out of the covered court and we picked up
pieces of garbage. Some of the members of the SSG Officers roamed
around the campus to sell the rugs as part of our Fund Raising.

All the tasks and operations were done indeed successful
in this matter. Everyone who was involved in this bayanihan
showed their initiatives and cooperation as well as their efforts that
made this event possible to happen. Meanwhile, our school was
well-prepared to be the second home of the learner’s being hazard-
free, conductive and enjoyable to make our school, Carmen NHS, a
better place to all of us

First Day of school and Ribbon Cutiing
SSG Officers witness the first day of school where they make things
around the campus settle. SSG Officers who were also part of the BSP took
their responsibility in flag raising ceremony. Some of the remaining officers
were the one’s who secure students to fall in line in accordance to their
year level. And my job is to take documentations.

Turn Over and Installation Ceremony
SSG Officers witness the Turn Over and Installation Ceremony. A

new principal Sir Sylvio took the place of Ma’am Gina. Teachers were there
inside the conference room. I took documents for our narrative reports and
it was successfully done.
Few minutes had passed by; the SSG Officers showcase their
thanks and gratitude to our beloved School Principal Ma’am Gina
through serenade and gifts.

1st GPTA and PTA Meeting
It was June 30, 2018 in the morning when Carmen National High School
conducts the 1st GPTA and PTA Meeting held at the Covered Court. Students and their
respective parents and guardians attended the said meeting. Our School Principal, Dr.
Sylvio Carciller, Assistant Principals, teachers, faculties and staffs, as well as our
GPTA President, Mr. Ramon Maglangit, shows their very active and full support in the
assembly. Everyone participates and really shows their interactions on the agendas
just to clarify things that were not cleared to them.
The SSG Officers were tasks to the attendance area and documentations. After
the GPTA Meeting, the SSG Officers picked up pieces of garbage and keep the chairs
out to the covered court. PTA Meeting follows after the GPTA Meeting. Each classroom
discussed about the election of officers and other matters.

PMHA First Lecture
This was our first meeting in PMHA LINK CLUB lecture where we
would be discussing what we have written last April 13. We have written
our Advocacy Plan of Mental Health. It’s through advocacies and
Information Board, time framing within August to October. We
expected that the students were aware and can manage their emotions, and
were able to gain more knowledge and information related to Mental
Health.
The other side stated that the Carmen National High School Link
Club Officers are the role models in promoting Mental Health Advocacy
statement. Wherein we will be implementing and commit it through the
following ways such as symposium or orientation in the school or in the
community for more broadly and to make the information spread;
broadcasting and Caravan will do.
And at the same time, we will share our knowledge through social
media lecturing, because people nowadays are into technology or internet.
We also have our activities which enlightens our mind to see our negative and positive sides.
We also conduct our School’s PMHA LINK Club Officers.

SSG Meeting and School Clean up Drive
We conduct a meeting for our school clean up drive inside the

school. We talked about the main sore eyes that we see around the around
the campus the garbage. We have in our hands the garbage black bags and
we picked up those garbage by segregating it.
That wasn’t our first time to have clean up drive in the campus but
then we haven’t taken documentations for those days we were into. We
also sweep the floors from SPS to Senior High School building.

SSG Meeting at SBM Office
We were called by Ma’am Canonero at the SBM Office to discuss about

the distribution of disposable garbage bags. We were tasked on that day to
have our room to room distribution and we indeed distributed it all. Due to
shortage and limit of bags that were bought, those rooms who really need
those rolls of bags, not those who already have their garbage bags , were
given.
I had documented our distribution of plastic bags but sad to say my

phone was already damaged and I can’t attach it now as a source of our
evidence.

Designing Our SSG Bulletin Board
We were at the school to decorate our SSG Bulletin Board. We brought

art materials to come up our desired output. We’re only few who work for it and
we can't gather all officers in upcoming activities because of some alibies and
rejections of our requests. But we are trying to not tolerate that practice; instead
we take part and give time and focus to the said plan. Especially in some
important meetings, we gather ourselves to help each other for the sake of our
school. We are also practicing how to manage and balance our time in studies,
serving the school, chores and other important matters.

Valentine’s Day 2018

It was the 14th of February, which is the Valentines’ Day. We, the SSG
Officers, taught of something of what we can do to make that day special.
We still continue to celebrate it with or without the program. So we all
agreed to make a heart-shaped ribbon that’ll be given to all the teachers
and staffs. Early in the morning, on that day, we stand by the school
entrance to greet the teachers with a happy faces as they come inside the
school. We greeted them a “Happy Valentines’ Day!” and gave them a
heart-shaped ribbon. It was a very simple, yet thoughtful gift to give.
The Senior High School SSG Officers also took their part of our plan.
They surprise their teachers together with other sections and greeted their
teachers as well. Students in Junior High School have their surprises too.
The day then continue with the regular classes after all those surprises and
greetings that made teachers cry.

Validation Meeting
Selected SSG Officers were assigned to the different Principles. Although it
seems like we don’t have the most taken responsibilities, we only printed out the
tasks given to us, but we do really have our willingness to help in case the
teachers need assistance.

Summer Painting Elimination Round
Carmen National Senior High School Teachers conducts an

Elimination Round in Contemporary Arts Painting held at the TVL-C
classroom. The theme of the painting was all about summer. I came up to
this output for the reason that I don’t have any ideas about it that time
because it was on the spot contest. And I wasn’t able to prepare everything.
So much for that, after the judging, I was so thankful because I was chosen
to be the representative in the upcoming Senior High Expo.

Interpretative Dance at ACSAT Gym
I join this competition not because I have this kind of talent, but because I want to
enjoy my last Senior High School Experience and raise the flag of Carmen National High
School. I am not only a dancer in this competition; I am also the one who paints the faces of
my co-dancers.
It was raining very hard. The flood goes higher that makes our service truck difficult
to go beyond the flood’s waves. We got wet, our props got wet too. We have thought that our
teachers won’t come. We cried, even our coach, at that time for the reason that their costumes
wasn’t provided to them yet. We hugged altogether and pray for everything. Praised God, He
grant our prayers. We brought home the bacon. Every one of us did our best that seems like
there’s no more tomorrow. We got the 2nd Place for the student’s category. And our teachers
got the Champion recognition even though they were the last performer.

Carnaval 2018
It was a very hot afternoon when we took our performance on

the center of the streets and showcase our dance presentation at the
Rotonda Circle for the Judging. We don’t have footwear at the time of our
performance and it was very hot for us to step over on the ground. We
performed twice due to technical error and loss of electricity. Still we
thanked God for it because our 1st presentation wasn’t on timing. We can’t
hear the music. It took time for us to wait on the electricity to occur. And
yet, we prepare everything and still have our best to show to the people
that we will raise the flag of Carmen National High School.

Applying the Elements of Arts
I choose to draw this because nature takes the best part of my

eyes in which the elements of arts are already on it. I just make my art
simple yet I draw it heartily. I only used pencil, blended with color pens on
it. Each of us presented our art in front of the class and must say something
about our arts. Praised God I got the high score on this 

Carmen National High School joins the said event. The Junior High School

Clay and Perla Art works
These are our artworks in sculpturing perla bar and

made a used of clay in arts. My sculpture was a Swan,
glittered with blue, green and gold silverdust. I made
flowers put in a vase with the used of paper and covered
with clay.

Nutri-Jingle Contest
I am one of the Jingle Composers at this time. And I served as the

Pen tapper during the event. We know that our performance is not yet
our best because of the shortage of time that we have practiced. But
fortunately, we got enjoyed even though there’s a misunderstanding

Science Month Recyclable Gown Contest
I am the gown designer of my own gown I wore. It took many days

to finish this gown with my bare hands. This Costume consists of 17
recyclable materials and are not easily to get decompose. My classmates
help me to provide the materials needed to come up my expectations. This
gown hasn’t finished yet. But I still presented it to the crowd.
I got the First Runner Up Best in Gown. I received sash and trophy.

practiced to identify what’s really true and fake news. We must not get
easily to believe on news and posts in social medias especially to those
updates that seems like unbelievable. We must know first the source and
the accuracy of it and who were authorized by this. Just what the quote has
said, ”think before you click!”

My First Contemporary Painting
I just painted my favorite place to go. I want

to see those cherry blossoms actually. I just used
pencil as traces and colored it directly with water

badminton and how it is being played.

Mathematics Feeding Program
The Mathematics Department of Carmen National

High School conducts feeding program of the
Elementary students. Mathematics teachers in Senior
High School, ABM and TVL-C students show their full
support in the said activity. We can’t even draw the faces
that the pupils have shown to us as they received the
food given to them. They were very much thankful to us
and we’re very much blessed.

Mathematics Instructional Materials
This was my concept of having an instructional material.

This was just the partial of my output because other photos, the
final one, have been saved to my other phone that was already
damaged. I haven’t have a copy to my final output  But
anyway, I’ll just describe it honestly.
Before we enter into the kingdom, you will see the

Mathematics 10 Commandments. Quotes and other facts were
put outside around the court and into the side of the bleachers.
This was a stage having bleachers and stairways on both sides.
The Mathematicians were posted on the bleachers having their
short background history and their contributions. There were
also a Mathematics trivia, question and answer, inside the vase
that was put on the left side of the stage. On the right side, there
was a Mathematics Clock. Numbers were posted in both sides
of blue part of the stage.
