 In this graphic organizer, you, the student, will assess the human costs to the major
countries involved in the armed conflict of World War II. By answering questions from
the provided link to the video, you will gain a better understanding of the price that was
paid by the major countries in terms of human costs by casualties suffered.

 To complete the graphic organizer, the student will answer the questions provided by the
teacher below that can be found within the video links and website links. An
understanding and appreciation of those that sacrificed for their country and future
descendants will come about as students begin to realize the true price of freedom that
was paid for in human capital.
o Graphic organizer must include
 a minimum of the top 3 countries with the highest total death toll.
 from these top 3 countries with the highest total death tolls, include a
minimum of three major events/battles that led to an intensification of the
death toll.
 Why were civilian deaths so enormously disparate compared to military
deaths?
 A personal opinion about what could have led to a de-escalation of the
death toll for the top 3 countries with the highest total death toll, two
sentences minimum.
