1. Installation
The controller is mounted on flat surface (in case of outdoor installation, IP protection must be
ensured for fixing holes).
The light fixture cables will be connected to their corresponding connectors, according to the
following diagram:

There are three types of outputs, as follows:

1. 48V output with command terminal* (+ ; - ; CMD) :
• TLOF
• FATO
• TAXIWAY
• APPROACH LEFT
• APPROACH RIGHT
* Control terminal supplies variable voltage, depending on the chosen dimming level.
2. BEACON output (+ ; - ; GND)
• Provides pulses for BEACON lighting (”H” letter in MORSE code)
• The beacon ground wire is connected to the GND terminal
• The beacon does not have the command terminal (the dimming is performed
internally)
3- 110V Output (L; GND; N) - these light fixtures are not dimmable:
• FLOODLIGHT
• VASI LEFT
• VASI RIGHT
Connect the power supply cable from the mains to the proper connector (see image)
SIM card will be inserted (see video)

2. Operation
The controller operates in two different modes:
• Remote + Local
• Local

Remote + Local
• This mode allows the use of the system with both local and GSM control via the related ANDROID
application.
• It is used when all conditions of connection to the GSM network are met. (see video).
• If the GSM module cannot connect to the network, then the system will also deny access to the
local control buttons.

Local
• This mode is used when the GSM module can not connect to the network (missing signal, invalid
SIM card ... etc.) and provides access to local control switches only.

The Front Panel contains:

• Display;
• Selection switches for brightness status or STANDBY mode;
• Selection switch for operation mode (Remote + Local / Local); this switch must
already be in the chosen position when starting the controller;
• Switches for local control of various types of light fixtures (see the data sheet);
• On/Off switch.

3. Placing in operation
1. Select the operation mode (using the ”Remote + Local / Local” switch);

2. Turn ON the controller using the ”On/Off” switch (IMPORTANT: it is imperative that the desired
operation mode is selected before turning on the controller; if the desired operation mode must be
changed, please revert to step 1);

3. The display powers up, showing the following messages:

• “STANDBY” or
• “Voltage, Intensity, Power and Brightness level”
depending on the system status of the previous operation session.

4. Wait for approx. 30 seconds (while the system connects to the GSM network - if this mode has
been selected).

5. To power on a group of light fixtures (out of 7 groups), push the corresponding switch (keep
pressed until the switch lights turns on).

6. To turn off a group of light fixtures (out of 7 groups), push the corresponding switch (keep pressed
until the switch turn off).

7. If the system is in “STANDBY” mode, the light fixtures switched will not work. To power on a group
of light fixtures, you must first select a dimming state (10%, 30% or 100%).

8. To choose a specific brightness level, push the corresponding switch.

9. To turn off the light fixtures, switch the system to “STANDBY” mode by pressing the corresponding
switch. The system provides 40 seconds delay for the operator to be able to change his mind and opt
for a different dimming level.
