Our logo
Our logo forms a consistent element throughout all of
our communications. It is made up of two elements: the
company name `Swagelining´ and the Subsea 7 link `A
Subsea 7 Company´ as shown here. Each element, and
its position in relation to each other, has been carefully
designed and must never be stretched, altered or
distorted.

To ensure consistency these guidelines should be

followed at all times.

Our logo and strapline

Where space allows our company logo and strapline
should appear next to each other e.g. on overalls,
brochures etc. Either directly below or to the right of
the company logo as shown opposite.

Our logo and brand marque

The full version of the logo should always be applied
to marketing communications materials and channels.
Full company logo
Providing the full version of the `company logo´ is still
dominant within the specific application, the `brand
marque´ (without the strapline) can be applied as
a secondary brand element across marketing and
communications materials and channels where space
and size is more restrictive, e.g. the full version of the
`company logo´ should always appear on the front
and back cover of print materials and PowerPoint
presentations with the `brand marque´, as appropriate,
being applied to pages / slides within the document.
Exceptions may apply to promotional merchandise
where a one colour option and space can be restrictive.

If unsure which version to use, guidance should be

sought from the Communications department.

Clear space and positioning
x x
To ensure our logo has the maximum impact, we need
to keep an exclusion zone around it at all times. This
area should be kept free of text, graphic elements
and images. We have defined the minimum exclusion
zone on all sides, which is equal to the `X´ height of
the letter `N´ in `SWAGELINING´ as shown here. Use x
this as a guide when working with the logo. Use this
spacing as a minimum when positioning from the
edges of applications.

When using the logo on a photographic image ensure

the area behind the logo is lightened. It should never
be positioned over a busy area of the photograph. x x

Minimum size
To preserve the definition and quality of the logo when
reproduced in print and electronic we have established
the these rules for all applications, ensuring there is
no loss of quality when reproducing our logo or brand
marque.

Master logo should be used at all sizes above 45mm. Always use scalable `eps´ or `ai´ files.
`.png´ and `.jpg´ files are available on request.

40mm

If the company logo is reduced below 40mm across the full width then the brand marque should be used. Never
enlarge from a reduced `.png´ and `.jpg´ file, always use a master logo to reduce from.

Photo Imagery
Photography
The saying goes that every picture tells a story. This is
the premise of our photo library.

We want to use photography that tells the Swagelining

story – that is: who we are, what we do and where we
work. We want strong, striking images that are eye-
catching, engaging and exciting.

Although the type of photograph required depends

upon how it is to be used and who the audience is, we
have some basic guidelines our photography images
should be:

• Chronicle the critical, day-to-day activities of our people

• Reflect our skills, capability and technologies
• Capture the dynamic environments that we work in
• Capture the energy, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit
of the Swagelining team
• Demonstrate adherence to HSEQ requirements at all
times.
We prefer to use photographs of our employees where
possible, pending their approval.

Photographs should be HSEQ and communications

approved before using them externally e.g. in client
facing marketing materials.

We already have some great images to choose from.

Contact the team below should you need an image or
to book a photographer.
