It is impossible to help all people in the world, so governments

should only focus on people in their own countries. To what extent
do you agree or disagree?
Some people believe that governments should only support their local
citizens instead of helping residents in other countries. While it is true that
the government need to focus on their own people, I believe it is also
possible to provide support for other around the world.
To begin with, there are some reasons why governments should help people
in their own nations. The first reason is that financial budget of each country
is limited. Hence, money should only be spent on solving domestic problems
instead of supporting other countries. For example, there are a great number
of poor people who needs support in their own countries. The government
should help them first before supporting the poor in other nations. The
second reason is that because citizens contribute their money to create
national budgets, the government should only focus on improving the living
standard of people in their own communities.
However, I would argue that we can also support individuals coming from
other parts of the world. Firstly, in many undeveloped countries, the
government can not have enough budgets to deal all aspects of life such as
education, health care, food in their own countries. As a result, they need
support from other countries. For example, in Africa, because the
government do not provide enought food for poor people, which leads to
millions of death because of lack of food. Secondy, by providing support
each other, the relationship between nations can be tightened. In modern
life, creating strong relationship with other countries becomes more
important, which leads to a peaceful world.
In conclusion, although the first priority of governments is support people in
their own citizens, they should also help people all over the world.

2. Sending criminals to prison is not the best method of dealing with

them. Education and job training are better ways to help them. Do
you agree or disagree?
Some people claim that we should provide criminals with education and
vocational training instead of putting them into prison. While it is true that
education and job training are good methods, I would argue that sending
offenders to prison is the best way to punish them.
To begin with, there are some benefits of giving education and job training
to criminals. The first reason is that education could change their mind on
life and the society. When they are educated, they could distinguish between
wrong and right action. Therefore, they tend to avoid illegal activities.
Furthermore, job training for offenders can contribute to minimize crime.
When criminals are provided vocational training, then they can earn a large
amount of money, which leads to a better life for them. As a result, they do
not commit a crime anymore.
However, I believe the most effective way is to send all criminals to prison.
Firstly, because they are put into prison, they would not able to commit a
crime, which ensure safety for the society. For example, murders who are
highly dangerous for the society may kill more people if they are freedom.
Secondly, criminals who are sent to prisons are deserve a punish for their
crime. Everyone has to pay a price for their guilty because of justice of the
society. If offenders who commit a crime are freedom, there would be a great
number of people who are willing to offend.
In conclusion, although it is good to provide education and job training for
criminals, I believe sending them to prisons is the most effective way to
protect the society.

3. It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn the culture of

other people. We can just learn much from books, films and the
Internet. Do you agree or disagree?
Many individuals say that we can learn about other cultures through books,
films and the Internet instead of visiting other places. While it is true that
there are many information we can acquire from books, films and the
Internet, I would argue that it is essential for us to go different destinations
in order to learn about cultures.
To begin with, there are some reasons why books, films and the Internet are
useful sources for us to obtain information about cultures. The first reason is
that because people do not have to waste several days or spend a large
amount of money to travel different destinations, they could save a great
deal of time and money by staying at home and broadening their knowledge
about different cultures. The second reason is since the Internet is rapidly
developing, a weath of knowledge about cultures from other countries are
available for people to have access to. For example, when I need an answer
for questions about cultures in India, I only search on Google or other
browsers and there are millions of answers about cultures in this country.
However, I believe we need to travel if we want to learn about the culture of
other people around the world. Firstly, when we go directly to cultures, it is
the best way to learn. We can easily make friends with the locals and ask
them directly about their cultures. As a result, we could truly understand
about their cultures. Secondly, some information on the Internet, in the books
or films can be exaggerate. Therefore, people could misunderstand about
the culture they are intested in. For example, last year, I wanted to travel to
Vietnam, then I seached Vietnam cultures on the Internet and people said
that Vietnamese are very impolite. But when I visited in Vietnam, the locals
are even hospitable to strangers like me.
In conclusion, I believe that we can learn about cultures from books, films or
the Internet, but it is necessary to travel to other places to know more about
cultures.
