The exhibition and book Roselyne Titaud - Geographies des limites humaines explore the motif
world of the artist Roselyne Titaud (b. 1977). From 22 February until 21 July 2019 Die
Photographische Sammlung/SK Stiftung Kultur is showing interiors, still lifes and landscapes,
presented as balanced, matter-of-fact colour photographs. The majority of the still lifes were
taken in private apartments in Berlin. In many cases elements from nature such as artificial
flowers, plant ornaments or animal reproductions play a role - for the artist they provide an
imaginary bridge which leads to the area of real landscape and connects internal and external
space.

Within the framework of "Artist meets Archive", a project of the Internationale Photoszene Koln, a
special project will be introduced as of 3 May: Entitled "The Lobster Quadrille" Titaud will present
works from the collection of Die Photographische Sammlung together with her own photographs
in an associative dialogue. The individual image will become part of a visual alphabet which
facilitates new perspectives. Her curator-explorer gaze leads the artist back into her own archive.

With a preface by Gabriele Conrath-Scholl and a text by Jule Schaffer.
