ANALYSIS ESSAY: TROJAN WAR

The events that happened in the trojan war would not happen in today's world. Today if

someone were to build a giant horse and put people in it and leave it in enemy's territory(

Cartwright M. pgp # )the enemy would suspect something and would burn down the horse or

inspect it. People today would be so believing and naive like the trojan people were. However in

today's world people would fight a war to gain that country or place like they did in the trojan

war. Some of the events in the trojan war would work today but others wouldn't work so much in

today's world.

In today's current warfare climate we use guns and canons. In the battle of troy they used

swords and spears. In the warfare climate today swords and spears wouldn't really work for us

because we have advanced and evolved to guns and more powerful things that you can fight far

away with and not face to face. The trojan war lasted 10 years. Today wars can last as many

years as it wants. The event of the trojan war lasting 10 years would work in today's warfare

climate.

When the greeks constructed the trojan horse, a huge wooden horse that they offered to

the city of troy, they removed their boats to make it seem like they retreated and the trojans were

happy to see the greeks gone. Today in the warfare climate making it seem like we retreated and

making the enemy let their guard down like they did in the trojan war would work today but the

huge wooden horse they left for the trojans wouldn't work. Today making a different diversion

and attacking when everyone thought we retreated would be how we would do it, a little

different from how the greeks did it though.

ANALYSIS ESSAY: TROJAN WAR

The event of many great heroes and people dying in the trojan war( greek mythology on

trojan war) would work as an event today in the warfare climate because we have so many great

people and heros that have died just like the people in the trojan war. Something that wouldn't

work would be the way they had the fallen soldiers death ceremony. Today people bring the

fallen soldiers home and bury them in the ground. Back then they would burn there bodies on a

place made out of wood. Today that wouldn't work because we bring soldiers home and give

them back to their loved ones and they bury them in the ground.

In conclusion, today many things would not work like they did back in the trojan war

such as heros dying and wanting to gain land. However many other things wouldn't work for

today's warfare such as burning fallen soldiers bodies instead of burying them at home. Also the

weapons they used in the trojan war such as swords and spears wouldn't work for today's

advanced warfare because we have evolved from those weapons to bigger better ones. So some

stuff from the trojan war would work for today's warfare but then again many of them would not.
