Data Summary
This graph and following table measure each schools productivity by meals per labor hour. Each
school vaires in the number of students they serve and the types of meals served, such as al la
carte versus standard meals. The graph below summarizes the spread sheet included in Appendix
1 of this report.
Analysis Results
In this analysis, each school was compared with a standardized range to quantify their
productivity.

The schools where production efficiency could be improved are at Highland elementary
and the High School. Highland produces the fewest amount of meals per day and is close to
meeting the low range for meals produced per labor hour. The High School has very low
productivity even for an operation that produces about 900 meal equivalents per day. This low
productivity may be related to the new Media Center cafe and training new staff. Below are
some suggestions for increasing productivity for low and very low producing operations.
