a.

LAWS –A body of rules of conduct of binding legal force and effect,


prescribed, recognized, and enforced by controlling authority. Law is a
system of rules that administer a society with the intention of maintaining
social order, maintaining justice and preventing harm to individuals and
property.
A set of rules decided by a particular state meant for the purpose of
keeping the peace and security of society.

b. CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISION – is a law that is written in the Constitution


itself and does not come from a rule or statute. It establishes the basic
rights, duties and structure of the polity. These provisions cannot be easily
altered except by the way of amendment procedure given in the
Constitution itself.

e. REGULATIONS – A rule of order having the force of law, prescribed by a

authority's control. Regulations are issued by various federal government
departments and agencies to carry out the intent of legislation enacted by
Congress.

f. RESOLUTION – In law, resolution is a written motion (formal proposal by a


member of a deliberative assembly that the assembly take certain action)
adopted by a deliberative body A deliberative assembly is a gathering of
members (of any kind of collective) who use parliamentary procedure to
make decisions. ) . The substance of the resolution can be anything that can
normally be proposed as a motion.

g. EXECUTIVE ORDERS – refers to an order issued by a governor of a state. An


executive order can also be called a decree or orders-in-council.

h. PRESIDENTIAL DECREES – is a rule of law usually issued by a head of state,

i. PENAL PROVISIONS – A clause (as in a contract) that calls for a penalty to be


paid or suffered by a party under specified terms (as in the event of a
breach) and that is usually unenforceable.

m. OFFICE ORDER –An order containing directions or instructions which are


complied with by the person receiving the order.
