Regarding our meeting on Wednesday (27 July 2016) at your office, here I attach a
description / explanation about the steps of certification process for ISO 9001:2015
standard. It is almost the same process for ISO 14001:2015, and OHSAS 18001:2007
standard.
This include: activities, time prediction, and fees (the fees are vary depends on scope,
total audit days and company / site locations).
I hope this can help to give a good understanding to all of your suppliers about ISO
certification process, and our company can create good relationships in the future.
Sincerely,
Tommy Andriyanto
CER Marketing Executive
ISO Certification process:
1. Management System Preparation (contact ISO Consultant if you need an assistance)
Include: establish ISO team, document preparation (quality manual, flow chart, list of
regulations, etc)
2. Kick off / Implementation of Management System in the company (3 month)
Include :
At least one Internal Audit and one Management Review before the end of the 3 rd month.
Awareness & Internal Audit training (contact ISO Consultant or Certification Body such as
Bureau Veritas Indonesia).
3. The Audit process (by Certification Body):
a. Stage 1 = mainly as a document review activities (about 25% of total audit days).
b. Stage 2 = to find evidence of management system implementation (75% of total audit days).
The total audit day (for 1 standard), see table below:
Sample of ISO 9001:2015 audit day standard calculations
Effective Number of Personnel Audit days (Stage 1 + Stage 2)
1-5 1,5
6-10 2
11-15 2,5
16-25 3
26-45 4
46-65 5
66-85 6
Example:
If a company has 25 employees and only 1 location to be audited:
Certification audit = 3 days (stage 1 = 1 day and stage 2 = 2 days).
4. Surveillance Audit (1/3 from certification audit) = 0,33x3 days = 1 day (yearly audit) with the
same employee number as audit at previous year.
If the company chose to conduct yearly surveillance audit, total man days = 3+1+1 = 5 days.
The total fee for 3 years of ISO certification cycle will be :
Rp. 5.000.000,00 x 5 days = Rp 25.000.000,00 (exclude PPn)
Remarks:
a. The audit days are varies based on scope, number of employees & site to be audited.
b. Not include hotel and travel fee for the auditor (if applicable).
