RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Allegany Woodrat and Other Small Mammal Trapping (May 2018- July 2018) I assisted with
the capturing and processing of small mammals all over southwest Virginia. Sherman traps and
tomahawk traps were deployed along with camera traps to record species in the area. Research
mentor: Dr Karen Powers
Fiddler Crab Temperature Preference (January 2019- May 2019) Myself and a group of
students conducted a project to determine the temperature preference of fiddler crabs. Skills
include caring for fiddler crabs and observing behavior. Research mentor: Dr Sarah Foltz
Field Biology and Phenology (January 2019- May 2019) Monitored seasonal changes by
conducting several research experiments including wildlife cameras, plant observations, and
salamander surveys. Skills include setting out wildlife cameras, implementing coverboards, and
using a national phenology data base. Research mentor: Dr Christine Small

EMPLOYMENT
TJMAXX (September 2017- Present) Provide excellent customer service to customers on the
sales floor and at the checkout line. Stock merchandise neatly and swiftly.

JCPENNEY (July 2015- August 2017) Provide excellent customer service and maintain a neat
workspace.
