CHAPTER I
Introduction
With the ever-increasing technology, the developments are increasing in
the face of the situations that cause human life. Every day, the robot industry
emerges as a model that is produced as an alternative to human element in a new
branch. Flying robots, wheeled robots, legged robots, humandroid robots,
underwater robots are just some of them. The growing world population is bringing
involuntary problems together.
Fires are among the most important of these problems. Robot industry has
a lot of work in this area. Some of these are fixed mobile robots with different
features, which are equipped with different sensors that detect before the fire is
out, mobile rescue robots as fire search and rescue equipment, mobile locating
robots used for fire detection, fire extinguishing robots in many different models
designed to assist firefighters or the homeowner in the fire.
Fuzzy logic control mechanism is used to control robot. That model does
not need any mathematical model controlling. Previously Fire Fighting Robots
were controlled by using different electronics devices. But this reduces the scope

of control of fire fighting robot. However, with the advanced techniques we can
build the same robot by using android application to control the actions of the robot.
With the help of such robots, fireman’s work really decreased and
movements of robot are so much effective. By using an android app fireman man
detect the fire and can able to extinguish it. Our project is designed to develop a
fire fighting robot controlled by android application which can control operations of
the fire fighting robot.
Project Context
Some of the proposed robots are controllable robots that search fire with
the help of sensors and extinguish it but searching fire takes long time and robot
are not intelligent enough to detect the flames that has more potential to spread
fire so that it can be extinguish first before the fire rages out of control.
User can send commands to robot through Wi-Fi module which is mounted
on robot itself. Smart phones has facility of Wi-Fi, through that Wi-Fi user can
control the movement of fire fighting robot. For fire detection it is using smoke
detector sensor. Fire extinguishing system will be get activated when fire detection
system detects fire. Fire extinguisher will start to extinguishing Foam when it
detects and locate the fire. At the transmitting end android application is used and
at receiving end two motors are interface to micro-controller.

The mobile remote controlled fire fighting robot application in this study is
to search the fire with the flow chart determined in the labyrinth created in any way
and to extinguish the fire with the help of the fire extinguisher foam when the fire
is found. A variety of mechanical and electronic components were provided for this
purpose and then the mobile robot was assembled. Finally, the designed robot has
been programmed to perform the intended functions.
about the program is, it has the capability of generate schedule automatically for
each employee and collect all employee attendance. It also to monitor the active
and inactive workers.
Limitation
It only records the regular employee of the school. The proposed system
cannot be accessed online and it focuses only on the employees attendance of the
union college. This proposed system is only applicable and only be used by the
management of union college. The proposed system is a standalone program
which only create schedule for the employee and store it to the server for future
review and generating reports.
Definition of Terms
1. COMPUTER: the digital device that stores information in memory using input
devices and manipulate information to produce output according to given
instructions.
2. DATA: Data is measured, collected and reported, and analyzed, whereupon it
can be visualized using graphs, images or other analysis tools.
3. INFORMATION: These are data that has been processed and is meaningful to
the end user.
4. COMPUTER-BASED: It is also referred to as computerized. It is the art of using
computer system to carry out task.
5. ATTENDANCE: This is an act or fact of attending (being present at) work or
institution. Also, attendance is used to define the number of person present at a
particular day of an event or an institution.
6. SYSTEM: A system is a group of inter-related components working together
towards a common goal by accepting input and producing output in an organized
transformation process.
7. DATABASE: Are not merely collections of files, rather the database is a Centre
source of data meant to be shared by many users for a variety of applications.

CHAPTER II
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE / SYSTEM
Technical Background
The developers create an attendance monitoring system that will
monitor the employee’s attendance and will record in the server for the payroll.
Foreign
According to Cobuild learners dictionary “Attendance is the fact that
someone is present at an event or go regularly to an institution, or the attendance
at an event is the number of people who are present at it. Furthermore, if someone
is in attendance of a place or event, they are present.”
Local
According to John Aquilan made a comparable thesis entitled
“Automation of time attendance System” in 2004, it stated that the
automation of the time attendance records, time in and time out of every
employee using barcode system. It tends to eliminate the manual
recording system of time and attendance and also include salary computation
of each employee based on the time and attendance reports.
Synthesis
The related literature discussed all the deal of the attendance system
which have something to do with the present study. The outlines of the items give
easier efforts to monitor the attendance. The related studies discussed the time
efforts of employees concerned are maximizes for productivity of reports and our
proposed system provides systematic and organized handling and generation of
reports.
