Ramadan

‫َسلِّ ْمهُ ِّ ِْل ُمتَ َقبَّ ًل‬
Transliteration: Allahumma Sallimni li Ramadan wa Sallim
Ramadana li wa Sallimhu li Mutaqabbala

Translation: O Allah! Safeguard me for the Month of Ramadan


(by making me see the Month of Ramadan healthy and fit so
that I can take maximum benefit from it), and safeguard the
Month of Ramadan for me (by making the conditions in it such
that I can take maximum benefit from it) and accept it from
me. (Kanzul Ummal #24277)
Dua on sighting the new moon

Transliteration: Allahumma Ahillahu alayna bilyumni wal Imaan
aas Salamati wal Islam wa Taufeeqi lima Tuhibbu wa Tardha
Rabbi wa Rabbukallah.

Translation: O Allah! Let this new moon appear over us with


safety and Iman, peace and Islam, and ability to do that which
You love and are pleased with. (O Moon) My Rabb and your
Rabb is Allah.” (Mu’jamul Kabeer lit Tabrani #13330)
Zikr to be recited excessively in

Transliteration: La ilaha illallahu, Astaghfirullah, Asalukal
Jannah, wa auzubika minan Naar.

Translation: There is none worthy of worship besides Allah, I


ask Allah’s forgiveness, I ask You (O Allah) for Jannah, and I seek
refuge in You (O Allah) from the fire (of Jahannam)
Duas for fasting

‫ت‬ َّ ‫م‬ ‫و‬ ‫ت‬‫م‬ َّ

Transliteration: Allahumma Asumu ghadal laka faghfirli ma qaddamtu wa
ma akhartu
Translation: O Allah! I am fasting tomorrow for You. So forgive my past and
future sins.
OR

Translation: (O Allah) I intend fasting tomorrow
Duas for breaking fast - Iftar

Transliteration: Allahumma Laka Sumtu Wa Ala Rizqika Aftartu
Translation: “O Allah! I fasted for You. With Your food do I break my fast.” (Abu Dawood #2358)

Transliteration: Ya Wasi’al Fadli Ighfirli
Translation: O (Allah) The Being with immense grace! (please) forgive me. (Mirqatul Mafateeh)
Additional Duas for Iftar

Translation: O Allah! I ask you by Your mercy which envelopes all things to forgive me.

Transliteration:
Subhana Zil Mulki Wal Malakooti - Subhana Zil Izzati Wal Azmati Wal Kibriyai Wal Jabarooti
Subhanal Malikil Hayyil Lazi La Yamootu - Subbuhun Quddusun Rabbul Malaaikati War Rooh
La Ilaha Illallhu, Nastaghfirullah, Nasalukal Jannah, Wa Nauzubika minan Naar.
Translation: Glory be to the owner of the kingdom of the skies and the earth. Glory be to Him
who commands respect and honour, greatness and power. Glory be the King who is Ever-
living and does not die. He is Most Praised, Most High, Rabbof the angels and the Rooh
(Hazrat Jibreel Alayhis Salaam). There is none worthy of worship besides Allah, We ask Allah’s
forgiveness, We ask You (O Allah) for Jannah, and We seek refuge in You (O Allah) from the
fire (of Jahannam)
Dua after Witr Salah

ِّ ِّ‫س ْبحا َن الْمل‬


ِّ ‫ك الْ ُق ُّد ْو‬
‫س‬ َ َ ُ
Transliteration: Subhanal Malikil Quddoos

Translation: Glory be to the King, Most Honoured!

This Dua should be recited three times after the Witr Salah and
at the third instance the word Quddoos should be lengthened.

Dua for the host

َّ ‫أَفْطََر ِّع ْن َد ُُ ُم‬


‫الصائِّ ُم ْو َن َو أَ َُ َل طَ َع َام َك ُم ْالَبْ َر ُار َو‬
‫ت َعلَْي ُك ُم ال َْم َلئِّ َك ُة‬
ْ َّ‫صل‬
َ
Transliteration: Aftara indakumus Saimun wa akala ta’amakumul Abrar
wa sallat alaykumul Malaikah

Translation: May fasting people continue to break their fast by you,


may the pious eat your food and may the angels blessings be with you.

Dua for Laylatul Qadr

‫ف َع ِِّن‬ ْ ‫ْع‬
‫ل‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ب‬‫ت‬ِّ

Transliteration: Allahumma innaka Afuwwwun tuhibbul afwa aa’fu anni

Translation: O Allah! Verily You are most forgiving and You love to forgive.
So (kindly) forgive me.

Eid Greeting

ِّ ِّ ِّ
‫تَ َقبَّ َل للاُ منا َو م ْن ُك ْم‬
Transliteration: Taqabballallahu minna wa minkum
Translation: May Allah accept from us and you.
