Method:

1. Weigh 20g of baking powder blast off using an electric scale and place into a
conical flask.
2. Using an electric heater and a thermometer, heat distilled water to 1000C.
3. Pour the 1000C water into the conical flask containing blast off and
immediately place rubber cork and connecting tube on.
4. For a period of thirty minutes, observe what is occurring, after read off and
record the volume of gas (CO2) evolved using a gas syringe.
5. Repeat steps 1-7 for the baking powder, Elevator.
6. Tabulate and compare results.
