CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1
1.1Project Introduction
System includes a set of sports offered at various levels of competition, teams and
player cooperation. These are further classified into several seasons of play that define
the beginning and ending dates of various competitions; Fall, winter, spring, and
summer. Often, a given sport offered during a specific season is called a league in
which teams register to participate. Facility scheduling is another additional aspect to
be considered to schedule a sport.
There are two approaches that can be taken to manage football management program:
1. Do it manually using pen and paper and integrate technologies that support
management's needs. This approach requires manually recording all information with
regard to all data and manually creating the contest schedules, coordinating facility
usage, and hand-registering athletes and teams. The dissemination of information
would require that documents be typed, photocopied, and posted in mail to the
participating individuals.
2. The second approach is the integration of software technologies to help manage the
large amounts of data. While technologies that support sport management do exist in
today's market, the functionalities each technology supports can be limited and may
vary considerably. Some products provide useful facility management tools but lack
the ability to work with teams, while others tend to work well with teams but not with
facilities.
1.2Project Scope
The scope of this system is to deliver an environment to District Football
Association Abbottabad to keep record of the registered players and team and
manage upcoming schedule.
System will provide platform for footballs fans to view records of their favorite
players/teams, read live commentary and view the score update of ongoing
matches.
System will provide platform for players to view their information which is added
by admin and view the upcoming schedule of tournaments and matches.
System will provide platform where admin can manage teams and their records.
System will provide platform where admin can manage players and their records.

CHAPTER 2
THEORATICAL BACKGROUND
2.1 Introduction
System follows manual approach of pen and paper to registered the teams and players
into the association. This approach requires manually recording all information with
regard to all data and manually creating the contest schedules, coordinating facility
usage, and hand-registering athletes and teams. The dissemination of information
would require that documents be typed, photocopied, and posted in mail to the
participating individuals.
In existing system team manager bring all the required documents and hand
over the required department (Team management department).
Manger can register their teams in the files system.
Files were managed by clerk.
The existing system is simple and includes a lot of paper work with huge man
power.
The existing system has a confined set of rules and options to have an entry to
the files
Paper work management and time sheet requiring double data entry generates
errors, mistakes and increases the time in entering with lot data.
There are four board members of District Football Associations
President:This member holds all kind of information about the system.
Secretly:This member work for president and take order from president.
Provisional Member: This member works on the provisional level and holds all
kind ofinformation about the system at the district level.
Vice Chancellor:This member work on behalf of Provisional Member and take
orders from Provisional Member and president.

4.5 Use Case
Use case diagrams are used to gather the requirements of a system including internal
and external influences. These requirements are mostly design requirements. Hence,
when a system is analyzed to gather its functionalities, use cases are prepared and actors
are identified.

4.6 Data Flow Diagram
A data-flow diagram (DFD) is a way of representing a flowof a data of a process or a
system (usually an information system). The DFD also provides information about the
outputs and inputs of each entity and the process itself. Adata-flow diagram has no
control flow, there are no decision rules and no loops.

33
4.10 Design Goals
This describes the qualities of the system that developers should optimize. such goals
are normally derived from the non-functional requirements of the system.
They are grouped into five categories these are:
Performance
Dependability
Maintenance
End user criteria
Performance
The system to be used should have a fast response time with maximum throughput. The
system should not take up much space in memory. There should be a fast response time
over throughput and hence the system should try to be more interactive and therefore
the system should be more reliable to satisfy constraints than fast response time.
Dependability
District Football Associations needs a system that is highly dependable as it’s accepted
to be used by non IT professionals. The system needs to be fault tolerant and strong. As
the system is handling data of the players/teams.
Maintenance
The system should be easily extensible to add new functionalities at a later stage. It
should be easy to modify any changes to features and functionalities.
34
CHAPTER 5
SYSTEM TESTING
35
5.1 Introduction
finding the software bugs. It can also be stated as the process of validating and
verifying that a software program or application or product: Meets the business and
technical requirements that guided its design and development., testing is an important
phase in development, it is also use to check the errors and bugs in the application if any
exits due to texting programmers are able to remove them from the application.
Then we combine all the modules together and then tested them. We combined all the
main modules and tested them as a whole like one application.
36
5.2.3 Unit Testing
White Box Testing is a software testing method in which the internal structure/ design/
implementation of the item being tested is known to the tester. The tester chooses inputs
to exercise paths through the code and determines the appropriate outputs.
Programming know-how and the implementation knowledge is essential. White box
testing is testing beyond the user interface.
Unit testing is only applied on those systems which is built on concept of Object
Oriented Programming. Our system is based on structured approach so that's why we
cannot apply Unit testing on our system.
This method is named so because the software program, in the eyes of the tester, is like
a black box; inside which one cannot see. This method attempts to find errors in the
following categories:
37
5.3 Test Cases
The following test cases were written and executed to compare the actual results with
the desired results. The following test cases are success scenarios. The test cases were
tested by Junaid Khan. The test cases consist of functionalities, actor, pre-condition,
input data and comparison of expected result with actual result.

CONCLUSION
51
1. Conclusion
The objective of the project is fully accomplished. The proposed system is totally
digital and manages all the activity of football matches. It also manages to save data of
players and teams. The users will consume less amount of time when compared to
manual paper work through the automated system. The system takes care of all the
servicing activity in a quick manner. Data storing is easier. It is compatible to check any
report at any time. The system is user friendly and easy to use. There are 2 users’ i.e.,
the admin and the viewers. Admin has username and password saved in the system.
Using this username and password, admin can login to the system. Admin can add / edit
/ delete data of players / teams / operators. All this information will be stored in the
database. Next is the entry of the tournaments. The tournament date and the venue is
saved in the database for further confirmation. A list of players is also displayed and the
upcoming tournaments will be shown according to the particular time. The system also
provides a special authority of adding photos to the system for a particular player /
teams.
