Step 1: Define the Problem

Design Brief

Client: Nathalia

Designer(s): Allison Helms

People don’t have access to a cheap design website. Many companies do

Problem Statement: not have the same accountability that I will. It is hard to find a website where
you can see how things are made.

I’m creating a website where you can make your own designs. Show people
Design Statement: how they can create their own designs. Enhance people’s knowledge on
engineering. It will show you the design process and show you all the steps
to designing your own things.

Step 2: Generate Concepts

Rough Sketches & Decision Matrix

Team Member: Mary Sketch/Idea: She is coming up with multiple ideas on how to design her revit
pool. She created three different designs to ultimately put them in a decision
matrix. She then will compare them, and decide which one is the best. She
wanted her pool to be at least 25 yards on one side, so that she could practice
swimming. On the other side she wanted a place to relax.
Sketch/Idea: Creating a floor plan for a dream house in revit. Has a basic floor
Team Member: Kate plan, with appliances and furniture. She is doing a one floor house with an open
layout.

Team Member: Jazmyn Sketch/Idea: Jazmyn was making a portable battery phone case, you can attach
it to your phone, it is also removable. There is a port at the bottom of the case,
you stick your charger through the port.

Step 5: Evaluate the Solution

Evaluation Data, Peer Review, & Adjustments
I thought my project went very well, I was able to convey a very professional website to my peers, and
practically anyone. The things that went well, were the designs and explanations. Some of the obstacles I
faced were how I was gonna code the website.
Natalia- “I liked how things were well explained and oriented. I would want you to change the font style and
want you to explain what a isometric sketch is.”
Grant-”Some adjustments you could make would be to add a more engineering photos, and change the
background of the steps page. It is very well structured.”
I already got feedback on my website.

Step 6: Present the Solution
