The VTA has entered into an agreement with Kater to operate these new taxis, but the important point is that the VTA ‘members will have contol and oversight over the operations of Kater to ensure that all regulatory requirements are fully met r. All 10 Licences will be using Ka for Bonny's Taxi Ltd., Burnaby Select Metrotown Queen City Taxi Ltd, Richmond Cabs Ltd. 2, We expect Kater to be operating 50 of the new taxi licences by the beginning of January 2019. (We will call this Phase One.) 3. ‘The VTA members are the Licencees. Kater is simply operating these new vehicles (taxis) for the VTA members. 4, Of the Taxi Licences applied for (15% increase forall fleets), Kater will be purchasing 50 vehicles and transferring those vehicles into the name of the VTA member companies listed above. All vehicles using the Kater platform will be insured through ICBC in the name ofthe VTA members (Under their own NSC Number). Each VTA member will take these vehicles to their perspective Cities or Municipalities to apply and qualify for licencing. Also, VTA members will submit copies of proof of insurance and Commercial vehicle testing (known as the CVIP) prior to activating a licence from the Province or the City/Municipality. All vehicles are required to go through a scheduled maintenance with the VTA members representing the licences. 5. All regulatory requirements that licencees have for their drivers will be handled through the same process that each VTA member is currently utilizing. All drivers’ applications, abstracts (“N” Print), claims history, copies of Taxi Host certificates, copies of driver licence, copies of chauffeur's permits issued by the respective City or Municipal police force, violations, proper maintenance of driver records to include progressive discipline actions, operator hours of service regulations, trip sheet reports, and Pre and Post trip inspections will be kept in the offices of the VTA members. 6. All VTA members will have access to the Kater Web Portal, which allows us to monitor: trips, driver behaviour, on duty time for the vehicle and driver, customer complaints, lost and found, etc. 7. Our current regulation includes boundaries, The Kater Platform will geofence all boundaries according to each Vancouver Taxi Association Member companies’ current Condition of Licence with the Passenger Transportation Board.
