(ACSE) trainings, with relevant experience and capacity in the respective thematic area are
invited by the British Council to participate in the Social Action project implementation.

SECTION 4: EVIDENCE OF OWNERSHIP & CONSULTATION (1page)

1. How did you involve young people, key government officials, civil society, and other
stakeholders in the design of your Intervention? For example, how have you stimulated
demand from government for your contribution?
This project is a multi-pronged one in which young people, government actors, civil society, religious
and traditional leaders will come together and make deliberations

2. What evidence is there to show ‘buy-in’ and support for your ideas from key
stakeholders (including government, other CSOs or private sector working with youth) at
regional level – and higher? Please attach a copy of any relevant memoranda of
understanding entered into with CSOs and any other partners.
SHDA has a partnership/twinning agreement with local government, and is expected to maintain a
steadfast commitment with them.

3. How did you validate the demands for your proposed intervention from the population
who are intended to benefit most from this Intervention? Describe the consultation process

and how young people participated in the design of the Intervention. Please ensure that the
perspectives of young women and girls are specifically noted.
SHDA has conducted recent rapid assessment in the district, and will also undertake a confirmatory
assessment immediately to the launch of this project

SHDA has implemented Active Citizen (Social Enterprise) project supported by British Council starting
in October 2018

SHDA has been situated in the Kuyu district and all affecting/influence stakeholders like religion
leaders, Aba Gadas, youth/scout leaders, government counter parts
